check to see if there are any logs. on the crash. try removing all mods besides what the smapi comes with. try installing smapi again. try uninstalling stardew and starting from scratch

Hi, i'm dealing with some issues. I cant go in the Xbox Files by using the Xbox app then browse. Also when i go in it by myself its empty. I reinstalled the game, the application Xbox and i even tried to use another file to Download the game and its doing exactly the same thing. Do u know what can i do ?

i would go to your options and check for your install location. i have had a few people run into issues with saving items to the microsoft cloud. not sure if thats an option, but it will atleast let you confirm where the game is

odds are you added exe when you shouldnt have. check view file extensions in your folder options and confirm

Hey i have installed smappi exactly and the game works fine but the smapi dosent seem to register the mod and only opens the 3 files in the mod folder save backup, console command and error handler

I changed the name of the original stardew file and the modding file like how you showed but now when I try to run it, it says stardew valley could not be found. The storage device might be missing or disconnected

most common issue people have is they add exe to the file. go to the folder, click file, click view, check display file extenstions. if the game is Stardew Valley.exe.exe theres your issue. remove one exe and youll be good to go.

if you dont see the black console the launch isnt happening through smapi. you need to make sure you rename it

online should function as normal provided you renamed the mod api file like i did in the video, if you didnt and are just launching using the mod api it is missing a link that allows online to work

i followed the instructions as you gave them, but after i dragged and dropped the cjb cheats folder into the mod folder of stardew's folder and tried to start up stardew, it doesn't let me. i tried to run the program in and out of the xbox app, i restarted my laptop and stardew still closes 5 seconds after i try to open it.

basic troubleshooting 1. confirm the black console window opens for smapi 2. look at the generated log files 3. try running with just the mods smapi comes with 4. make sure games updated 5. make sure you are using the latest version of smapi 6. uninstall and reinstall game then mod again from scratch

I'm so sick of this not working. It's been 3 months of me repeatedly downloading this wrong or it not being supported by my device. When I go to the Xbox app it doesn't do anything when I click manage, just gives me an option to uninstall my game. All I can do is view file info, when I use the browser on my Xbox it says 'download not supported by device'

are you trying to mod on pc or xbox? xbox does not support modding of any game that doesnt include built in modding. basically skyrim and fallout 4.

if you want to play non modded you can run the old exe (online wont work) or you can rename the old exe back to stardew

lol no. the part to take away from this is you dont need to enable mods. just go into the folder add the mod to the data file and your done

so no nexus mod they have a required mods section that should give you info on the additional needed mods. you can also check if they mod maker added a git or install doc which can give more specifics like versioning issues.

@@Jay360z so it needs to find the one with your stardew executable. what you do is click on the game in gamepass. on the right hand side there is a button with three dots. click that and click manage. once in manage click files then click browse. this should open a file explore window. once there there find the folder called stardew valley and navigate into it then into the child folder content. once there go ahead and click the file explorer bar up at the top (should have a drive letter like C:. D:. F:, or whatever) and copy the full path including the stardew and content and paste it when it asks for a manual path

you should just need to get the latest version and perform an install. that should overwrite the existing files. you can also uninstall current version and install new, but i think thats unnecessary.

My game is like zoomed in when I play it, do you have anyway of resolving it? Its only happening with mods

so you can control menu size and window size/type once you are connected into a game. go to menu and click on the controller then scroll down till you get the graphics section. to confirm mod vs no mod issue you can rename your api back to smapi and change stardew valley old to just stardew valley. if you have the issue still fix it using the menu settings. if that resolves the issue then it could be an intended side effect of a mod. you can add one mod at a time and launch the game to see which mod causes the issue and just not use it, or check with the mod creator to see if its a known bug and if there is a fix
