I have a really tough time with this pose and generally end up on my toes on the supporting leg. Appreciate the tip, I’ll give it a go.

My issue is moving from back to front in skandasana without the use of my hands. It’s to deep of a movement and I actually injured myself pretty bad. Otherwise I agree it’s a great and fun pose when done safely to practice 😊

Will you tell me where I might increase my mobility so that my foot that is planted can remain on the ground in this pose please? I think it might be a hip issue.

How does this create more stability as opposed to having the whole foot down? aren't the toes a smaller base and the lifted heel more challenging for the ankle? is the logic that you need a long calf muscle to plant your heel down into the ground?
@CharlieFollows11 ай бұрын
Not everyone will be able to ground the heel for various reasons, so placing the block underneath the heel adds a platform for more stability under the foot. I hope this makes sense
@The_HealingSpace11 ай бұрын
@@CharlieFollows thank you, it does. I can put my heel down but I'll try it w the block in the morning to see better what you mean. I'm doing my practice ppl hours now for the 200 hr ryt. Your videos are so helpful. So excited!
