I think the YJ and TJ were probably the best generations, bang for your buck for trail riding. YJ if you like leafs, TJ if you like coils. The inline 6 4.0 fuel injected is my favorite motor. And the wranglers are super easy to work on 🤗

I don't know sub models all I know was these things were called Wranglers and all were great as long as they had a v8 or the inline 6, the newer v6 model wrangler is a pile of garbage, just my opinion lol
@MikeSmith-bb5ii6 ай бұрын
I agree with everything you say, but I dont call mine a wrangler because its not a gmc. Chrysler has always been a lazy company, and it shows in the fact they steal names from other companies.

The yj was named after a gmc truck, and it carried through.

Thanks for this video. I am dealing with the same issue on my 97. Bought new cores from the online, but then I found out there are different sizes depending on full or half door, which top, yadda yadda. Gonna try this fix this weekend.

Cool video Isaac! An easy way to bleed brakes by yourself. Put a hose over the bleeder put other end in a clear bottle with brake fluid in the bottle above the hose crack the bleeder and pump the brakes. With the house submerged air will not re-enter the system. Works great when help is not available. Give it a try.👍👊

Good solution. I had an old Civic years ago that had different keys for the ignition and the doors. Luckily I had both keys so I decided it would be easier to change the ignition than both doors and the trunk. I did a similar thing but instead of grinding anything off the pins I just took the mismatched pins completely out. I'm sure a bunch of other keys would fit it when I was done but nobody was going to try to steal that piece of junk.
@reaperasylum6 ай бұрын
Im a locksmith's grandson and i gotta say ike you took the long way around to remove the pins in the lock cylinder and it was a very crude way of filing down the pins but it was effective lol, there are pin kits online and the tools are cheap and easy to use just to let you know in case there's a next time lol.

This trick might help me out! We have had a 67 Mustang convertible since 1996 but apparently never tried the door locks! ( the top is always down!) until we went on Power Tour last month! When we tried the trunk key it wouldn’t work in the doors! The ignition key body is intentionally different and won’t fit the trunk or doors! Like you said, I can buy new locks but then we’d have 3 keys! So thanks for the idea, I have nothing to lose by trying!

Ahhhh! Interior trim panels, this brings back memories. Picture the scene, middle of Winter, temperature well into minus figures with a strong Scottish gale blowing. Picking two people from Slovakia up from the airport. My Slovakian was non existent at the time and so was their English. Fifteen mins into the journey they want a ciggie so I open my window, they finish ciggie I go to close window and it won't... one or more of the clips have broken methinks. I'm not daft I always have some tools in the back so I pull over to either fix it or at least do a temp job on it. Out of all the bits and pieces I have I can't remove two screws... this is going to be a bit of a faff. Then I look around me, I'm in Glasgow... the roughest part of Glasgow and there's a small gang of hooded young men coming out of the shadows, two are holding knives... I don't reckon they're wanting to give me a hand! I was away like S**t off a shovel and we had a delightful 100 mile journey !!! LOL!

I've got a 2011 Jeep Wrangler with a 6 speed, roll up windows, and a removeable hard top. Always say I'm gonna drive this till I'm dead. Great to see all the tips and tricks for this rest of my life vehicle. Only problem so far is my running steps (just like inside roll cage) rusted so bad I removed them. Help me out here, any idea for ones that last a life time?

i know you have to have lots and lots of old keys laying around. and i found out that GM keys will fit in most jeeps but it also works with any of the older cars. just set down one day and try every key you have i bet something with work the locks. then go get a key made from it. at one time i had over 600 keys of all kinds. and i will say this EVERY TIME i found a key that would work on something i needed. so i say always save your old keys.
