I know your pain, Isaac, been there, done that with abscesses in the past, they're not fun. However, depending on the dentist, the root canal, will feel like heaven, by comparison. They will numb around the tooth, drill a hole, and give you an antibiotic to help you drain the abscess. Once its done draining (depending on how bad the swelling is), they'll have you come back, to finish cleaning the hole and seal it back up.

I had to chuckle to myself when I saw you using the floor jack as a pillow, I've been there done that, alot! I was just in the E.R. a couple of days ago, (getting stitches in my finger, again....) and the nurse asked my if I wanted a pillow for my head and I said nope, I just balled up my jacket, stuck it under my head and was asleep in about three minutes! I love your videos and I'm sure looking forward to your next one!

Bummer on the pain, nothing quite dulls it. I knew some "old timers" (heck, back then they were probably younger than I am now, lol!) That ran divorced overdrives. They seemed to work well. Looks like this project is coming together nicely, good planning, & accumulating parts (another bummer for the Muncie's!). Thanx !

Dude, when you have a classic 4 speed is where it’s at! I was lucky enough to have been old enough to enjoy all the gear head cars right off the showroom floor! I had a 65 Nova ,327 ,Muncie 4 speed, Hurst shifter, with 411 posi traction rear end! I spent most of my time going sideways burning rubber ! That was high school days!

Get better soon Isaac. Your 4-speed Saginaw transmission should be fine. My bother had one behind a slightly modified 400 cid Chevy small block and it worked fine. I know what you mean though, wanting a Muncie. My dad had both a close ratio and a wide ratio that he would swap out back and forth in his 1966 Pontiac GTO just for fun. I can still hear that good old transmission wine. My 2005 Harley Road King 5 speed has some wine to it. The newer smooth and quite ones are all good, but a little transmission wine just takes you back to those days. You know what I'm talking about.

brother i went to the dentist 2 months ago they did x-rays came back and said i had 15 abcessed theeth. i lost my job because of the pain. i dont have insurance so im stuck dealing with the pain. its no joke man tooth pain sucks balls. i've had several brokken bones in my hands and ankles and nothing compares to that shit.

Man, I am so sorry. I had located those parts and was working on getting them for you and had my pipes freeze and break the week of Christmas and completely forgot all about it. It's just been a rough go for me. My furnace broke which is what caused the freeze up and I'm still trying to get the furnace sorted out. I'm on the road a lot so, it takes me a bit to get things done.

I tell you from personal experience with pain,I am a country boy never went to the hospital for the injuries or dentist for tooth pain. You want semi hot water in small cup with about a third of vinegar swish it around in your mouth and do that 3 times in the hour,do it before bed,don't eat anything before bed,and you don't need pain killers. Your gums will heal. You don't need a root canal,I had one done,it cost too much money,your gums will heal. Eat oatmeal for breakfast,no greasy foods,or high high fructose jam,the fat and protein in the food is not good for your gums. Diet is not what you think,and the sooner you eat better the better your teeth will be. Oatmeal,potatoes,fruits,pancaked for breakfast is literally the healthiest food to eat in the morning.

Great content Ike! Sorry bout the tooth. There is no humanly possible way to ignore a tooth ache. But the good news is that root canals are not as bad as people make it out to be. Once you get past the Novocaine shot, the rest is easy. Good luck to you my friend.

ive had a root canal done it was worse than the tootache i had to have the tooth pulled on the same day at midnight it might be better to have it pulled i feel for you ive had a tootache for a month the dentist office gave me the wrong directions there, then they didnt have me in their system and they had my name wrong now it will be feb. 3 rd. to go to another office for a referral to see a dentist good luck dude 😮 !!!

Back when I had real teeth and got a bad toothache, at first I would be uneasy about going in. After a week or two of increasing pain, I did not care if they used the jaws of life to remove it, just do it !! lol

Allways feel a bit sad for the people in the USA who I watch when they have to pay for anything medical. I have to pay but the treatment for dental is capped at 3 bands the highest of which is £300. A root canal is a band 2 at £73. I do hope the treatment doesn't leave you too out of pocket, good luck with your appointment 🇬🇧🇺🇲👍

I know the tooth pain. Had my former boss drop a 2x4 off a roof and a nail in it went through my lip and broke my tooth. I was dealing with depression and gave up. I regret it because my teeth are pretty bad and dental work is expensive stuff.
