Help motivate your teenager or tween to focus in school and do their homework using the pomodoro technique, a simple process of setting a timer to work for a solid 25 minutes followed by a 5 minute break.
If your child is struggling to finish their school work or has a general lack of focus, the pomodoro technique is a great place to start. In this video, I explain the technique of preparing your workspace, writing out your task, setting a physical timer, checking off your accomplishment, and taking a 5 minute break.
I love the pomodoro technique because it help students avoid distractions, stay on track, be more efficient, and get more accomplished. I like to use it during the workday, myself!
