Really love those disco Novas. That scoop is a cool touch. You really know how to build em. Cool and straight to the point. Love your pups.

My thought for the scoop was the El Camino . How ever it turned out really nice on the hot rod. Keep them coming Lee

What do you do for drainage if water pools inside the scoop? Keep picking away at the Nova and make it your daily driver! I absolutely love it! You’re killing it Lee!

Nice work, Lee. It really looks so much better than it did. Good that you could make something nice out that piece of crap hood that it was on. Great to see Nikki and Little Buddy Boy playing well together!

It really improved the look and identity of the hot rod nova it definitely matches the sound of the wonderful exhaust and compliments its overall esthetic. Since that hood wasn't perfect anyway, it was a better decision to put it on there as opposed to the el camino.

You should swap the wheels with Camaro and the Nova. Those Cragars would look great on the Nova and the Rally Sport wheels would look great colour matched on the Camaro.

The Nova was the best choice by far. I’m an elky lover and it looked ridiculous on that 76’ but not to bad on the Nova.

Air goes in the scoop from the base of the windshield when you're driving, not out. The only way to cool the air under the hood is to have cooler air from the front of the car enter the engine bay and or relocate the rad.
@clunkersandclassics16 күн бұрын
Engine heat comes out of the scoop when you're idling and most prone to overheating. If you ever went on Hot Rod Power Tour you'll see hundreds of cars with their hoods up while waiting to get into the events.

If it hasn't been recommended, maybe paint the camaro a negative bumble bee. Black paint with yellow stripes? Anyway, enjoy the content, keep em coming 2025!!!

31:11 . i wish the cracked upper and lower of the front of the hood scoop in 31:11 was sealed(patina style). i would've painted the rest matte black like you and faded it to the front to reveal that natural/coincidental art with a gloss clear coat. front of the scoop was so beautiful

Hey Lee there is a camaro junk yard in Canada U Tube video ( loaded 2nd gen ) .One us dollar will get you 1.40 in Canada and they like exporting just not importing .Less sun damage ( cold winter ) there so could be high quality used .The ware house was full .Just an Idea .

I saw a guy using a squeegee when he was using high build primer to cover pin holes, seemed to work fine! Is that something you heard of or have done?
@clunkersandclassics19 күн бұрын
I wouldn't recommend it. Easier with putty and a lot less sanding to smooth the primer out.

Nova was one of GMs better looking cars I wish they still made them. But if they did probably coast three times more then they coast to build ..Cars have gotten out of hand unless your like me and 60 percent of most who have to buy use and fix them up my last f150 was the last one I would probably buy unless wadges go up three times more or cars come down to reality Enjoy that old GM keep em rolling and don't sell for a fortune there are enough for every women nan and child on the road dealers and junk yard..to much greed for everyone these days. Enjoy b fore there gone
