@@indirussell7083 : Big animals are always dangerous. It is impressive to see Kevin with animals he has known for years when everything is fine, but everything does not always stays fine. Kevin has said often enough that most accidents with predators are warnings. And people are "just mangled". Others species can be more lethal, not just hippos and such. Your average horse after a few months of "intensive care" can be unpredictable, or very predictable to those who cared. Some just try to kill their healer/torturer every chance they get. I have seen an owner with a broken jaw just because his horse wanted to get at me and his main healer, another time the groom got bitten (big time !) for the same reason and we were at least four yards away.

I have a cat whos like Coal. He's been with us since he's 3 months old. Never been abused/ abandoned but he's just naturally solitary. He was spoiled by us all his life. But He would be quite aggressive when I/ my family members tried to pet him. It was not until I had to move him and live with him alone for self-quarantine that he started to become more affectionate. Now he often comes to me for some affection and will purr for hours. I really like Coal ...he is like my cutie icy prince.

It's all about perspective. Based on size, compared to a lion, a leopard is in fact a 'kitty'

The leopards seem more unpredictable than the lions and way less inclined to trust the human.
@toserveman93175 жыл бұрын
Murder inside the group (artificial groups that have been have forced on them) means less to leps than lions (who are naturally social, IN-GROUP). Lions get in more easily (despite also being _consternated_ over the truck) `cause they trust him as a main pride member (or maybe spirit force in their world -- depends on whether or not a "god module" has formed (thru mutation) and been selected for). Lions are "socially smart" (along with regular ole pattern prediction and outflanking smarts). But they therefore are more gullible when it comes social control? (Sounds similar to another apex pred social creature...)

Given the amount of 'likes' (ten which is a lot for my misanthropic ass) I want to amend my comment... I left out a simple reason: They see him as [a type of] *mother* (because he bottle raised them and they are "stunted" from the easy life he affords them). But why don't the leps see him as "mom"? Did he not hand raise them with a bottle? The hyenas take to his presence better than the leps. ...Again a social species (tho a bit femdomy [still social however]).
@Nit23155 жыл бұрын
Lions are social animals, leopards not really. It's not really about trust but about social necessity.

@LindaC6165 жыл бұрын
@AKsleepygirl Haha, Jackson Galaxy's got some good tips on how to make the carrier a space for them to hang out when they're not going anywhere, so they won't fear it. I used to have to trick mine, pull out the carrier and leave it in a higher area with the door open about 2 days before, and then when I got home, pretend that I wanted her for something else. You pretty much have to get them in on the first try, or you're screwed!
