Got kicked out at 20 with no car and about $200 to my name. I have been watching your videos for almost 2 years trying to soak up all the knowledge and tidbits I could. I can confidently say that after almost 2 years. I got my own apartment, car, and 8k in savings. Wasn’t easy but looking back I can’t help but smile. It was a journey. If you REALLY want to leave your parents house immediately at 18, the military may be a good option for you. Even if its reserves. I understand that some people have their feelings about it and it does require a lot of sacrifice, but if you enlist for 4 years, by 21,22, you'll be completely independent, have a chance to really "grow up" and not have to move back in.

the key is having THE RIGHT POSITIVE MINDSET❗️because yes, knowing you have to stay with your parents a little longer can be a bit of a pain, but also knowing that you’ll be out soon if you stay focused and keep pushing yourself to stay consistent to reach that goal of getting up out of there, will for SURE make you feel a WHOLE lot better. the time will FLY BY. also focus on the journey more than the destination❗️because by the time that journey ends and you’ve reached the destination, you’ll have learned so much more than what you’ve expected to come out of it and have a totally different mindset when you are on your own❗️i wish everyone the best❗️ONE LOVE ❤️

When I was moving, I was leaving my job, I waited 6 months and in the 7th month I put my resignation in. I stayed working in that job for a total of 5 yrs. I started traveling after that. I stayed on top of my credit cards and paid for my sister's wedding with my savings. I regret spending so much after I stopped working. Learning to be frugal is the best suggestion. I wish my folks taught me how to find sales. I had a certain lifestyle. Its best to learn how to be able to go without. Nothing wrong with living in a simple manner. It will save you so much in the end.

I started saving $500 a week and it’s really nice to let the money build up because I know if I need to I can rent somewhere for a year and not even need to work for a while if i ever had to switch careers or jobs. The busienss im in there’s good money buts it’s demanding schedule very hard to have a life outside of my business right now. I am 35 and still living with parents. For the longest time, its because I chose to and wanted to build up savings and investments but the last 2 years has been a big loss to me when it came to job, some reputation, feeling behind and not very motivated because the last jobs I had were stressful to the point I quit. Although I had a lot of savings and crypto investments where I took great profits at times to do so and was fine for a while. Then personal issues came out, my mental health went down the drain and it was hard for me to make consistent income outside of work because of lack of motivation and direction in my life. Now at least I am getting my mind together on what I must do, recovering from my losses and hopefully motivate myself to move out no later than next year because I really need to build up character and motivation to know how to survive on my own and feel independent and free. I want to build up my skills as a video editor, build a new KZbin channel to promote my business while working a day job that I feel its not stable and can lose it at any time. I love my parents and we get along well. They helped me a lot, other than shelter, I can handle pretty much everything on my own but with how crazy high rent is this day, it still does not motivate me much to move out... only to go back if I am not sure if I am ready. Hope I am not too late in the party since you said wait till 20-23 to move out and I am far older than that. I feel like a failer but I do not want to give up in life either. While you do that you work on your crypto trading/investments/youtube channel until you save up for a cheap shitty apartment. You start from there and build up to nicer apartments as you earn more money tru time. C’mon man you need to change asap, in 6 months I want you to come back here and update us on your progress.

Most parents want to see their children grow into GODLy, capable, hardworking, WISE, independent adults. Most parents are willing to partner with (not carry) their young adults to their independent goals. Patience YES! Also respectful behavior and a drive to move out (all talk no action) while u execute ur move-out plan. I’m old school! Don’t ignore the possibility of marriage while executing ur move-out plan. Clean your room Find yourself a job Go to school Clean the house Do not have certain friends. Do not do drugs Go to church Do not drink alcohol Do not abuse yourself sexually. Don't listen to your boyfriend or gilfriend unsolicited advised. All of that is for your own good. Life is not about making money hustling and busting. You work today the money goes right back out. People get sick, accident, babies, prison, jail, boyfriend cheats, girlfriend cheats, Divorced. friends are very manipulative and thieves. It is a mean world out there. Children stay with your parents learn a trade save your money move out of your parent house in good terms. If you go to college after 4 year college no job you can always come back. If you joined the military it did not work out you can come back home. Do not listen to this guy. He might be at his mother or a friend basement at 25 making these videos. His only source income might be you tube money. Life has greater and deeper meaning then to work and make money for the rest of your life. You won't have an 18 year old body forever.

Ironic thing is, I genuinely want to go to church. And my parents don’t

70-80k ? Am I doomed??, I never hit 40k?

You are not doomed. We all make different amounts of money and we’re all at different stages in life (and we live in different areas with different costs of living)

I'm thirty four years old and i'm still living at home. Should I stay or move out

Same age and about to move out. Need to get away from toxic people aswell and from an environment that doesn’t seem to care at all. I’m not to well mentally but iv decided to move out still and face my fear. Need full control. I’ve been abused by my own father since a young teen. Fear mongered, doubts and controlled. Iv got big dreams big things lined up. £2000 per month including all the bills is expensive though for a 1bed in London. If it was cheaper would have easily moved out.

As someone whose actively getting prepped to move out, I really thank you for this video. It gave a lot of guidance and reassurance. I moved back home for my last semester of college and I’ve been back a for almost 2 years. But my savings are the highest they have ever been and I’m getting my self situated with a car at some point (still working that out.) honestly move at your own pace and it’ll work itself out. Everything is wonky lol

How much would you recommend saving?

I moved back during the pandemic as well and got stuck because my parents are abusive and I was forced to stay unemployed and have no income. Been working secretly online and now I'm proud to say I have enough savings to see the light at the end of the tunnel. I'll update my comment in a few months if things worked out as I hope.
