That made so much sense! My professor didn't really explain it all that well and just assumed we knew it already. You made it seem so simple! Thanks SO MUCH!

Thank you! This has cleared up a lot for me. I wasn't quite sure when the 'hydro' prefix was needed and within a minute of watching this a lighbulb lit up in my head. You explain everything so simply! Thanks again :)

Thanks for explaining the naming process. My professor just told us to memorize the strong acids and didn't give an explanation as to how or why they were named as such. I deduced on my own the Binary Acids but I couldn't figure out the pattern for the Oxyacids. I really appreciate it!

When do you use "Hypo" and "Per" or is that for something completely different? Sorry if you went over it in the video; I kind of skimmed through it.

Why don't you use the prefix "hydro-" with the oxyacids? You did with the binary acids previously, so I'm a little confused.

thanks mr. causey, the rules were pretty simple to understand the way you explained them, but what about the ortho, pyro, meta prefix? Are they not a compulsion while writing the names of oxoacids?
