Hi Maya.. would you know how to travel from Alishan National Forest to Chiayi? Ive read a lot of posts/blogs saying there is no direct train but there is one that starts in Fenqihu. Thank you Maya!

@@RamenAnytime hi the easiest is by bus. You can choose to stop at chiayi TRA station or chiayi HSR station. They are 2 separate buses. And for train. There is supposed to be direct train from Alishan to chiayi but sometimes due to natural disasters the tracks need repair. @@KaylAkaSha Hi Aka, no, after Alishan we moved to shizhuo, do the tea trail etc, sleep one night at Zhengji Zhicha Suo Homestay. The next morning we check the nearby grocery store and found durian, it was really good. Then we moved to fenchiqu do some trails there and eat bento, in the afternoon take train from fenchiqu to chiayi (book in advance). But now you can do train from Alishan straight to chiayi. After that we spent a night at chiayi (last night before flight back). It’s not the best decision. You could move to upper part closer to airport like hsinchu or taipei and spend the night there. Because we spared taipei for next trip so I just stay at chiayi, then next day we check out taipingshan suspension bridge. It’s just ok. Not so popular among tourists. After that take bullet train straight to the airport and go home. 😀 Thank you.

I stay in kaifeng le room hotel maps.app.goo.gl/LZzTRoAeQRarrh2ZA?g_st=ic Quite affordable for Taiwan standard. Not so clean but acceptable. Thin wall. Got breakfast but no soy milk hehe. Location between Taipei main station and walking distance to ximending. And there’s wet market nearby.

In term of hygiene. I wouldn’t mind staying there again if no choice. But if I can get somewhere else with same or lower price point (with breakfast) I would choose other place.
