"We always don’t know our exact worth. Many people suffer from inferiority complexes and always think they are not worth the pride; sometimes, money is worth it. Especially with Indians, whenever we ask a person to tell us about his achievements, he starts with, “I didn’t do anything properly.” This is because they have to resemble them as a down-to-earth person. But it was not good in all places you have to express how much you are worth, what the work you have done and the importance of the work in some places. One of them is salary negotiation during an interview.
I know clearing an interview and reaching the package discussion round is a big task, but we should not just hear what HR speaks in the interview. We have to stand for ourselves and negotiate for the salary. But nobody will give you what you ask. You must prove your worth, explain what you can, and why you demand that much pay. You should explain it professionally, and you have to be ready to tackle the opposite person’s question. If they are experienced, they know how to convenience you. So we have to be precise with our thoughts and words.
