Hi Terry, I love your KZbin advice on property.. I have a question: I own an apartment in London, I bought it 24 years ago and as I don’t live in London I am unable to get a loan. I am Irish and wish to return home, am in my 60s. Can you advise me if it’s possible to get a loan in Ireland on my London apartment. The London apartment is always rented as it’s in a very good location. Any advice will be greatly appreciated and thank you.

Dymphna, the best thing to do is contact the lenders. They will tell you quickly enough if they would lend with the UK property as security but there may be a problem in trying to enforce the security if things went badly. Only they can tell you this, however.
