The disconnect comes from only watching Batman The Animated Series and the movies as kids vs. Actually diving in and reading the lore via the comic continunity. From knowing 128 forms of martial art, all of the diverse vehicles and gadgets, diverse tactial and mechanical bat suit. The movies, animates shows, etc.

Great episode, but was surprised no one mentioned the show Gotham especially Cameron Monaghan’s portrayal of the Joker-eske characters Jerome and Jeremiah. I’m not too familiar with the lore of characters since I haven’t fully read the comics, but I thought this was a nice take on it because you saw two aspects of the Joker in my opinion. Not only that they had The Court of Owls, Ra’s Al Ghul and then some and you kind of see how a lot of the villains became who they are known for even if it’s not all the way accurate. I remember when it came out, I wasn’t part of the craze until it died down and I see why it was pretty good for what it was.

Watching Batman and Bill documentary on Hulu few years back really gave me perspective understanding how this character is so enduring even the creation of the series. I’m glad Bill Finger finally got his credit after so many years. I know one of his relatives does go to cons and talk about her family members who was the pinnacle of creating it.

Bro Batman get too much hate, for no reason. If you think about the whole villain thing, the villains are still choosing to do evil. Batman villains ain’t like that one dude flash ran into on the Justice league who was visibly mentally ill and just wanted a friend. Even tombstone in the new Spider-Man game series turned his life around but Batman villains, nah, pure unfiltered menthol smoke.
