What's your biggest stumbling block when coming up with drum patterns?

Odd meters, polymeters, polyrhythms, but as a general rhythmic implementation on drums and other instruments… I understand the concept but fail to implement it in easy ways with good results. Same goes for extended chord progressions.

Why do you gravitate toward those? Out of habit, or do you struggle with more wonky rhythms?

I love the way you approach stuff man same sorta way I like to do with generations and then playing with em creatively
