This is one of the most powerful swing tip ever. I added this with your "letting go from the top" tip made my swing whole effortless and powerful. Thank you.

Another genius video...when it seems so complicated before, he makes it simple.

ABSOLUTELY! I've been doing the wrong thing from years of being told to fire the hips and shoulders and let the arms "follow along for the ride". WRONG. Also, a good shoulder turn is necessary in order to allow the arms and hands to fall down in front as you sequence the swing. GOLDEN Mike. thank you soooo much.

Hi Mike...nice to be back and subscribed to your channel again.... brief absentee with a shoulder injury. My golf instructor saids you're the only golf instructor I am allowed to watch on YT ..... we both think you're the best!

This is awesome advice and a problem I have fought my entire life. I've been focusing on keeping the trail foot down longer during transition to avoid this spinning out. Even if you watch Malaska mimic this steep from the inside move, the first thing he does is pick his right heel off the ground.

Same here. I’ve been using a drill I saw where you can stand on a wedge face with your trail heel so that the shaft points behind you. Then you can train yourself to not let that club fall until after contact. Try it. It really works!!!

@@lawrencecirillo3233 huh.. actually you want it to come up, as the lower body should be moving fast and the upper shouldn't as much... try throwing a ball and see where you right foot position is just before release
@lawrencecirillo32332 жыл бұрын
@@ToraxReborn Um, every great pitcher I ever saw had it firmly planted on the rubber when he threw it to home plate. I believe in the golf swing it can start to after you’ve transferred your weight, but not fully extend until after impact. Otherwise, you are early extending.
@klamsauce2332 жыл бұрын
@@ToraxReborn I'm not saying the lower body should remain still. The position of the heel is important though because it dictates how the leg is going to work.
@lawrencecirillo32332 жыл бұрын
@@klamsauce233 and you push off of that heel, but you don’t come off of it until it’s pulled off. That usually is just as you’re releasing the clubhead through impact.

Thank you! Turning the torso too soon/much is #1 bad habit; often leading to slices and "slappy" contact. Your ability (and patience) to explain core concepts like this with such clarity is a gift to high handicappers like myself, haha. I admit to oftetimes being lost in the garnish. 😬

Love the shout out to Dr Kwon - I'm now Level 2 "Kwonified" by Dr Kwon. He has proven what works with actual data from PGA and LPGA Stars. love you Mike keep up the great work. You have simplified long ago that is now proving itself out with data!

If you get the club stuck behind you one thing that can help is to get into a good posture.
