Ketamine infusion saved my life. I will say that to anyone. Don't eat anything from midnight on, like when having surgery, I find that makes it more effective. I have struggled with mental illness and my mental health since I was a kid. Before I even knew what those terms were. After years of depression, anxiety, and even an attempt to take my life, I never thought I would be able to live without psych medications. I clung to them because it was the only thing that made my mind quiet, but it also made me a zombie. Microdosing has given me control of my mental health for the first time, and they essentially gave me my life back.

1. Candidacy…not everyone is a candidate for this tx 2. Preparation…mindset , intention and expectation are essential 3. Guiding….you are trusting yourself to your doctor. You need to make sure you re not being abandonned during the process 4. Expectation…your mindset before you start is a predictor of how it s going to tapping into your inner potential 5. The doctor…board certified anesthesiologist or ER medicine with psychological training/fellowship training, willing to collaborate with the rest of your healing team..the right dose for you to heal. One size is not fit all 6. Access to your doctor …immediately throughout the treatment if needed to be connected. Red flag of no way of reaching after the infusion 7. Integration…you want to integrate this with your mind body and heart. The brain is rewiring during 24-48h, tapping into your inner healing potential so it is as effective as possible and so you do not revert to your previous state 8. Never feel pushed or coverted in this experience. If you have doubts, feel guilty, apprehensions, fear…you will torpedo your ability to tap in you inner healing potential. You need to feel confident and ready about this process. The right people, environment, comforting. 👍♥️🌹

Ketamine changed my life. I had major depression for over 40 years. I have been seeing a psychiatrist for 35 years. Over those years we tried everything, every medication and all other treatments except electrical shock, but that was next. My psychiatrist studied up on ketamine and really thought that it might work for me because it works on the brain in a totally different way. I found a really good doctor here in Palm Springs, Ca. After 6 infusions my depression was 100% gone ! It’s now been several months since my last infusion, and I am still doing great. I would suggest that you talk to your doctor and see if it might be a good option for you. There really is no downside.

I had ketamine therapy at a lovely clinic-after I lost my son from suicide (4 years ago) I got through the grief but was left with depression (as a result of PTSD from losing my son) I was aware that my brain was injured and medication, exercise, prayer and grief counseling just didn’t help. The clinic I went to had very caring staff (all are Christians). They titrated the ketamine very carefully. It took all 6 treatments to cure my depression-and I mean CURED! I had two more treatments several months apart as well-but haven’t needed one in a very long time. The clinic I went to was in Monroe, Michigan. I probably paid about $3200 for the six treatments but was worth every cent! The six treatments were done within two weeks (for best outcomes) Praying for all that suffer from depression-hang in there! Blessings!!!

Went to a Ketamine clinic for chronic pain. They just hooked me up to the IV, turned out the lights and left me alone. Sure, my pain was totally gone during the treatment, but came back as soon as it wore off. Secondly, despite the fact that my insurance pays for the therapy and the drug itself (which is rare) they refused to keep on. The thing is, psychedelics have been used for millions of years, but the "guide", or therapist, is the KEY to the therapy working! These people just wanted cash payments, like "legal" drug dealers!

@@wulfsorenson8859 I am not sure how to answer the response to bumblebee5990 because some people don't need any boosters at all after the first 6 infusions but the other thing is you might also need to take steps in your life such as take care of yourself to avoid falling back into depression again. Therapy after you feel good can help with that but also making other positive changes in your life is important. Reset Ketamine channel on youtube provides a list of things you can do to support healing after the infusions. That makes sense. Don't just take the infusions and think you don't have to do any other work besides that. I think it depends on the person and some people will need the boosters but clinics should not say everyone needs them. They need to be careful how they word things. They shouldn't say nobody needs them because some people do. I mean if you don't want to do anything positive in your life and spend more money on maintenance boosters then that is fine. Lori Calabrese, MD also has articles and she said maintenance boosters aren't required in most cases but she also believes in infrastructure changes to support well being.

How long does an infusion last? I'm afraid to ask about it. I've been on every antidepressant and anxiety med on the planet. I have chronic pain from Inclusion Body Myositis but they won't let me keep benzos and the pain meds so I have panic attacks regularly and act like everyone an addict. I'm a 58 year old nurse who has NEVER missed a required test for scheduled meds (or for police depot employment for 20 years), have never had an off pill count, never any sign of diversion, never had any drinking or drug problem. I have to choose pain or anxiety.

I definitely suggest trying ketamine as it can definitely help reduce anxiety and thus benzo use. However, if you aren't being allowed enough benzos I suggest you find a doctor that is being paid out of pocket. You will have a much easier time getting what you need. Oh, I just re-read. Sounds like you are getting opiates too. Disregard the private doctor advice then and give the ketamine a try after you have done sufficient research and understand what you are getting yourself in to.

Wish you hadn't taken down the post saying K is not a psychedelic... I got this from Wikipedia... Ketamine is a dissociative anesthetic used medically for induction and maintenance of anesthesia. It is also used as a treatment for depression and pain management. It is a novel compound that was derived from phencyclidine in 1962 in pursuit of a safer anesthetic with fewer hallucinogenic effects.

Any input on the lozenge dosing by online companies like Wondermed? I know it would be slower and would take more time but is that necessarily bad, or is it best to do the largest therapeutic dose possible (ie infusion) to get the best initial response. Does the way it's delivered first, effect you irrevocably or is it something that can be scaled up if it doesn't work. Ie, if it doesn't seem effective via lozenge, could you then switch to in an infusion therapy and still have it work?

Are ketamine infusions safe if you're taking other medications? Like a painkiller or benzodiazepine?
@Rene-uz3eb Жыл бұрын
Apparently safe enough, but the benzos at higher doses make ketamine less or not effective. Concomitant Benzodiazepine Use Attenuates Ketamine Response, 2015 Morphine seems to be tolerated because in anaesthesia they already mix the two. I would watch out though for gabapentin regarding depression/ptsd. It affects the same type of receptors (NMDA) through a different pathway, impairs learning processes. Regarding pain relief, a rat study says they work synergistically. Note they needed only 1/3rd the dose individually for the same effect. So if you take both gabapentin and ketamine, you’d need to take a much lower dose of each. The Median Effective Dose of Ketamine and Gabapentin in Opioid-Induced Hyperalgesia in Rats, 2011 However, this human study says that the combined increased pain relief drops off after 3 weeks and is no better than gabapentin alone. I’m guessing that’s gabapentin’s fault, not ketamine. Ketamine for the Treatment of Chronic Pain: A Comprehensive Review, 2021
