Hey thats a really good question, I think if they are hung up on them you have to evaluate whether they are ready to move on and just need someone new and better to pursue or if you think they're in a love cycle with that person where they will keep going back to each other over and over.

Hey, that really sucks and I've been in your situation before. However, my advice is just be yourself. Heart break will happen and I recommend keeping your mind off it by doing something you love doing, for example maybe you like playing video games, do that for a while. Talk to new people, just move on if you can! Trust me I've been in your shoes more times than I can count. Try your best to keep your mind off it and try not to think about it.

Well, I recommend letting them know you're not available and you just see them as friends to start off with. Secondly, introduce them to other people, not the people you're trying to set them up with currently. Maybe other friends, etc. Finally, just be a friend. If they still don't get the hint tell them till they realize you're not interested.
