Thank you for making this! 😁 Super helpful! I love these videos that you make! Can you make a video of your phone plan and how you chose it? Like SIM cards, phone plan, prepaid contract, etc?

I’m glad you found it helpful 😄 It’s been awhile since I’ve gotten a phone plan but I’ll try my best to make a video

How do you immediately come up with a lesson on the spot? Like when they tell you that you must change the lesson 20 minutes before... Do they stick to a syllabus where you know what topic must be taught beforehand, but they just ask you to teach it differently?

This is a very good vlog. Be aware if you are a male teacher or a female teacher. There are cultural innuendos. Remember that Korean woman may not all agree with Western way of thinking unless they have learned English in the USA, England, Australia or Canada. These countries are very open. Korean culture tend to be conservative. Although I am of Korean descent. I made one mistake at school. I downloaded a picture of a beautifully dressed Korean woman. I said to one of my co-workers at lunch that I like this lady. Unaware my co-teacher from Sinam Elementary told me never print a picture because one of the teachers could call the police. Then I apologized and reassured I never do it again. This was in 2010. Yes even if you are a foreigner you must dress appropriate. That includes Korean American and Canadian. The city and the rural area are the same. I always make a collection of my lesson plans at work. I never used waygook.com, but other ESL websites.

Great video! Can you do one on your process of choosing to become a teacher and or the process of going from wanting a job, through the application process and moving, all the way to day 1 of teaching?

Great vlog and such good points about speed of speech. Do you mind me asking how old are you? I’m in my early 30’s and wondering if that would be too old for me to go abroad to teach. And also which is your favourite country to teach in so far or is it Korea?
@busanbasics2473 жыл бұрын
Thank you! I’m 27 years old. You’re definitely not too old to teach abroad. I’ve seen people in their 40s and 50s teaching abroad. In Korea the cutoff age is 60 or 65 for most places. I would say Korea is probably my favorite place to teach so far

@@busanbasics247 thanks for the information, feeling really motivated to go but was really worried about lesson planning so your tip of the website is great. Can’t wait for the next video 😊
