@@pearldiver7 I love West coast skiing. Strange thing is my last four trips have been average at best. Jackson Hole, Snowbird and Alta. Five years ago I skied Alta after a very warm day followed by a cold day, one of the worst days in my life. Funny thing is people were yelling and cheering from the lift as my wife,.my friends and I ripped bumps under the lift. We felt right at home. Lol
@pearldiver73 жыл бұрын
@@mtadams2009 sounds like you're like me Scott, enjoying skiing wherever we get to do it. I've had great days in the east, in the Rockies, West coast, and amazingly even in the upper midwest. Here's to many more great days for all of us.

West coast skiers who have never skied the east (and except for those who grew up here and migrated is ~ 95%) have no frame of reference, and should not bother opining. Like Donny, or a child who wanders into the middle of a movie, they're out of their element. There are many techniques to ski bumps, and there are many different types of bumps in the east. Dude was taking these at speed, a legitimate, less technical, but fun method. From what I could see, the only time he wasn't in balance was when he took air - back seat but never back slap. Dude was on flat tailed carvers. Impressive. I do this sometimes, take a wildly inappropriate ski somewhere it doesn't belong. Sometimes I'll take my 130mm Praxis into Black Hole at Smuggs. I call it resistance training. Switch to a tree ski for the next run

Um, it takes a good bit of skill to carry that kind of speed through scraped-off bumps. Agree is isn't "mogul skiing" in a traditional sense, but don't be dissin' it.
