My brother if you can’t afford to give a Qurbani - it is only required if you can afford it and it’s viable. Do not put a strain on yourself. May Allah give you so much barakah that you can give a herd of bulls one day! Khair inshallah

I want to do the sacrifice myself in person. Is their any guidance for this? An old friend has a sheep farm so I’m hoping he will allow me. Is this more rewarding and what would be the process please? Jazakallah khairan

Asalamualaikum, what if the Qurbani is donated overseas and you are unable to donate one third as gifts locally and consume one third? Will the Qurbani be accepted in the eyes of the Almighty?

Yes of course. The purpose of Qurbani is always to give to those less fortunate. It is now no longer feasible to have a Qurbani done in the UK. I have been donating a cow overseas for some 18 years to people in Chitral who literally eat meat once a year. The sacrifice of a camel or cow is 7 and two for a sheep or goat. I’m assuming you are in the UK. A word to the wise but do your own reading and don’t implicitly rely on KZbin for information. When you give Qurbani overseas use a trusted source - the people I use send a pictures of the bull when purchased along with the actual Qurbani due to modern technology previously it was photographs!

Please remember this man is a Salafi (rebranded as Ahle Hadith). If you are particular about your own sect then consult your own imam or mufti. Also, please, please do your own reading around the subject do not take anything on KZbin as the gospel truth! Islam makes is easy for us these people complicate things because they are not practical and follow a rigid system of interpretation which even Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) would shun. I always recommend giving your Qurbani overseas because there are more deserving folks overseas plus I’m not satisfied with the Qurbani process in the UK and doubt whether the person doing the slaughtering is actually reading takbir or just slitting the animals throat. Of course it is much better to be present and ask God to accept your Qurbani in person - remember a goat or sheep is 2 and a bull or camel is 7. Each to his own but the video is rigid and gives an interpretation from the Salafi school of thought! Please remember that before taking the information on board.
