I always clean my gun wearing scuba gear with air tanks. That way i'm safe from the oil and doesn't matter which way the wind blow's. ✌ Those are excellent pistols. Accurate.

You actually need a silicone oil which doesn't destroy the o-rings and seals.. regular gun oil is not recommended.

My friend, if you really love your pistol you should do the work at least on a wood table, not on top of concrete bricks.

You need silicone based oil, petrolium based oil will dissolve the O rings and valve making the gun useless.

Hello there I read your comment about using a silicone based oil is that a silicone based gun oil if so do you know of a good brand that would be good for this model I have one I bought in 2003 and have only used it a few times and just pulled it out and wanted to clean and oil it and what would I use to clean the inside of the barrel.

DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT USE REGULAR GUN OIL OR SOME OTHER PETROLEUM BASED OIL ON YOUR AIRGUNS!!!! Air rifles have a HUGE amount of pressure and gun oil has a lower flashpoint and can combust inside the gun. That and it will deteriorate the rubber anything you have in your gun. Use a good detergent free silicone base lubricant. Crossman pellgun oil, or detergent free 30w is great.

You shouldn’t use gun oil it’t not good for the seals,......you can either use Pellgun oil, ($5.00 for 1/4 oz).....or Automatic transmission fluid, ($5.00 for a quart) and for the price, ATF is the way to go!

Exactly how much fear are you living in? The gun is cleared, yet you have the safety on. Gloves so you won't get gun oil on your hands. Doing it outside for adequate ventilation. Are you sure you don't need safety goggles, a face mask & shield and to stay six feet away from the gun at all times? SHEEESH!!!
