Ok so I’m confused you just oiled your hair but why not criticizing bc my mom just oiled my hair like 2 days ago but I’ve seen some ppl use like water, then a leave in, and then oil but I never understand what’s the difference between doing this and then using a leave in and all that during the week. Castor oil has a comodegenic rating of 0 which means it has the ability to be absorbed completely without clogging anything that's y its so good. Other oils with the same rating include hemp seed oil and shea butter

Do you only blow dry your hair to trim? Cuz my hair never curls/twists the same after blow drying so I avoid it at all costs

Elise Cromwell no, not anymore. I always use a heat protectant when blow drying. I use shea butter. Are you using one when applying heat?

Lynda Jay yes but since my hair never acts the same I eventually shaved it off and started over. So I’ve shaved multiple times. This time around I haven’t used heat at all but my trim in June wasnt that great cuz I have tons of single strand knots at the end.

i've been trying to find something like this! my only question is how often do you oil? i have 3a/3b hair and low porosity hair. if you oil it twice a week do you oil it after you wash? =/ im so lost cause i never had someone to teach me how to do any of this for my hair =/
