Don't kick exactly straight down. Like in the video kick slightly backward. This will increase the friction of the front of the board to your front foot. You'll have more control in leveling out the board.

Pop the tail with your ankle AFTER you jump. This is an extremely important overlooked part of the trick. If you try to pop and jump in the same exact motion it won’t work.

I'm having trouble bringing my back leg up after popping it and bringing my front foot forward more, I wish I was a regular instead of goofy it would make it much easier to learn tricks because I'm regular for snowboarding 😭

i'd say trying to go straight into ninja kick ollies is a bit extereme I know people who have skated for a long time and don't even ollie that well. you really don;t need to do the push down motion.
