Been getting close to landing a kickflip and I think seeing the motion with the line is gonna help a lot. Thanks Tactics!

This is the best tutorial I have come across in my hour long search. The problem I was having was not realizing it was the exact same motion as an Ollie. That line diagram really helped. I’m going to try to just do an Ollie and add that little flick at the end. It makes sense now, thanks!

I’ve had a big problem with dragging my toes on the board and I think I just figured out why, my shoes are hand downs from my brother so they’re like a size or two too big and I think thats why I’m struggling with it do you think so too??
@tacticsboardshopАй бұрын
I fully agree that having shoes that are too big that have a lot of extra empty toe makes flip tricks way harder. I think it's really important to have well fitting shoes when skateboarding because the shoe is an extension of our feet. And if there's extra length in the toe, it just throws everything off. So I feel ya! - Tim

Okay thank you for the advice and knowledge. I’m getting some new shoes soon so hopefully that will help my progress more. Thanks again :)

99% of kick flip tutorials are literally "Pop with your bank foot (no shit), slide up with your front foot like an ollie, flick, and ride away clean" Also hilarious when they add in "catch it with your back foot" before the ride away clean part 😂

So I have a good Ollie right, but the second I try a kickflip I either pop the board straight up. pop it behind me, or send the board flying in front of me all of them not flipping at all. Can someone tell me how to fix this

How do I catch the board? It always flicks too fast and I can't catch it
@tacticsboardshopАй бұрын
Something you could try is putting a little more of your front foot on the board when you flick your kickflip. It will help slow down the rotation a little bit. And also focus on getting a good jump so you don't have to flick the board so hard and fast. I know you can do it! - Tim
