Thank you for the information. It helped me a lot. Im in the process of getting registered. Question, do the licensed person ask you a lot of questions when they get to your house? How long does it usually takes the visit. Im getting nervous about the visit😬

It depends on the inspector, but the questions are childcare related .

I’m in Texas and want to open up a licensed in-home daycare. I took the online class today. It is asking for my EIN number and to choose whether I will be a sole proprietorship or LLC and so on. Do I need to get an EIN now or after I have been approved for licensing? Because now I do not have a childcare business.. this is my first time going through this .

Choose sole proprietorship so that you can use your social security number.

You can ( I did when I first started ) but it will make things harder once licensing comes. Just make sure you are in ratio and EVERYTHING is set correctly.

I would read my lease, I've never had a problem. Landlords are usually more concerned with the upkeep of their property and if you pay your rent on time. Licensing is not going to go to your leasing office. They do require that you are on the 1st floor and have adequate space. 🥰
