Thanks, I'm driving one today and had no idea how to do this properly so this video saved me, lol. I kinda don't like how I have to yank the roof down by the handle and lock it. I had a Mercedes-Benz SLK roadster and it did it all with one button press, no muscle or force necessary. Feel like Ford should have designed theirs that way too, but maybe the engineering cost would have put the car in way too high of a price range 🤔

@@Red5oh oh, thanks for asking! It was actually surprisingly fun to drive around! I just returned it to the airport a couple hours ago. I must admit, I was pleasantly surprised and pleased with the 2022 Mustang. It was just the V6 sport version, not even the V8 GT version, and yet it was _respectably_ fast and powerful for a V6 in that price range ... I wanna try a more "sporty" V8/GT model now with a big over-powered 5L+ engine + turbo or super ... I know that thing will be quite a lil' beast! 😄 I'm still biased towards the German luxury brands, but the 2022 Mustang surprised me. I think it's a worthy yet more affordable alternative to the high-priced German cars if you just want something sporty and _fun_ without spending a fortune that will also still look pretty ... it never felt weak or sluggish, like the average consumer car, and it's very attractive and easy on the eyes as well. I suspect it had multiple engine/transmission modes for switching between "comfort" vs "sport" modes and that I was just driving it on default comfort settings. Would have probably had even better performance if I'd known how to adjust settings. I loved the interior and electronics, the factory racing wheels and even the finer touches they put on it (like how it projects the Mustang logo on the ground outside the door at night!) ... I didn't even have time to learn all its features and capabilities, and would _really_ enjoy driving a GT next time! All-round cool-ass car in that price range! 😁

Putting the top down when the car is off is possible, just put it in accessories mode by hitting the push to start button without putting ur foot on the brake

They should be fine. The insulation would be a little less than fastback versions. As long as you clean the snow off timely instead of it becoming ice you will be fine for Toronto winters.

Does it roll up your Windows if you hold the button? I've had several types of convertibles and they always roll the windows down when you lower and raise when you bring it up. Mustang doesn't so that?

It lowers the window when you drop the top down but it does not roll them up you have to do it manually

Make sure you’re pulling it down as well so it seals otherwise the handle won’t rotate properly

Can’t get those little triangle side windows to come fully to the door windows to seal when I put the top up. Why? What is the process and order of operations to get these windows to return to their fully sealed position? Rain is coming and this is a rental Mustang but no owners manual in the car.

Once the top is fully closed like in this video, you can use the windows switch. There’s a separate button for these triangle windows right below your driver and passenger window control. I hope this helps!

@@Red5oh I used the separate button. When convertible top down, and windows raised, the triangle windows will return to fully-sealed position. When top is up, they will not. An inch of open air space on each side. Rain coming.

It shouldn't unless it's very old. Convertible tops tend to leak but usually not an issue until 10-15 years

I am not sure if there is a way to completely close it without the motor not working due to electric/battery problems. I don't own the convertible, I personally have the fastback so can't check it

There is no manual way to close it. The button should work unless it's malfunctioning, in that case you'd need to take it to a dealer.
