*Works so well **Fastly.Cool** that it only requires daytime operation until high temp and humidity are overnight. It is difficult to get to side filters, but back is easily accessible.*

Purchased: August 2023 - still works GREAT!I kzbin.infoUgkxxsUnXhGsSJLim_XnMHyQK0u3XVaW-CGn live in a studio and during the summer it gets scorching hot - really old building with no ac units. I can’t express how EASY it was to install. This unit has been a life savior during the summer and some days during other seasons where it can still be a bit warm at night. In this small place is my friend, a husky, poodle mix and myself. We need AC - lolI don’t use the dehumidifier option - I’m not sure if it will leak in my house, since I did not install the small draining hose that came with it. May look into it late but I don’t worry about much humidity in the apartment. I don’t understand why the negative reviews since all things mentioned, I personally did not find issues with. Definitely worth it!

Oh I am so glad I saw your video. I took a flash light and looked to see there was a lot of dust buildup on the lower coils. So I removed some screws to get inside but failed to open it. Why on earth would the designers not include a filter like on the bottom coils?. I am going to make me a filter for the lower end. Now I know how. Thank you so much for your video. Life saver!

It's much easier to pull the cover off starting from the bottom, near the water outlet. No need to pry. Just pull from near the bottom of the cover.

Be advised there are two more screws on each side on the bottom by the wheels. Other than that, great video lol! Thanks!

Hey thanks for this, i have the 10 000BTU and had opened it last year by figuring it out myself, i hadn’t documented how i did it so i was glad to find your vid. You missed some screws at the bottom, i believe, maybe you had already removed them. I cleaned mine yesterday and it became 200 % more effective. The bottom part REALLY needs to have a washable, removable filter like the top part. They really messed up the design. Maybe they just dont care and want it to stop working after one year...

Thanks for the video. I think you should get a piece of filter gauze and fit it to the air intake. That should fix the need to clean inside the unit.

Thanks man, this was a tricky shell to get off. I didn't have a plastic knife/pry bar like you did, so I used a steel knife. I know it's not best, can scratch and do damage, but I was slow and safe and got it off and cleaned up.
@getwhatudeserve142 Жыл бұрын
Thanks for posting this. I have a Ocean Breeze 9,000 portable ac and its literally the exact same thing, as far as the back panel goes. Same exact screw locations and everything. It was good to see how exactly the back panel came off before i did it my self. I just wish the manufacturer would of put a 2nd screen filter on the bottom so its as easy to clean as the top one. Then we wouldnt even have to take it apart. When i saw how much debris yours had compared to mine i was like oh damm mines not that bad. Ive only had mine a few months this summer, but there was still a good layer of dust on the bottom grill. Question:when you store yours for the winter, do you open it back up and get all the water out of the bottom pan there? I switched to portable ACs because all the window units ive ever had always gets bad black mold inside the blower housing and caked on the fan blades itself. I figured with these portable Ones there inside the house and less likely to get mold buildup since its not exposed to the elements of outside. What do you think?

Thanks for the overview. Remember to keep track of where the screws go, they are not all the same type. Also it’s best to use a hand screw driver for anything plastic. Just snug. Strip the threads and you will have a loose rattling cover.

like how they make stuff and don't think about you have to clean it . I took with cover off and cut all the horizontal fins out of back and ,left the vertical ones in and uses some plastic mesh from the hardware store with stick on Velcro to hold in place so don't have to take apart to clean next time .

i bought this model 3years ago and the guy at the store said that i didnt need to drain it because this model evaporates the water.. I would let it run all night and all day almost. 1st year never had to drain it a single time.. 2nd year i woke up a few times with a puddle in the room because for 500$ the machine isnt smart enough to stop when its full apparently.. Last year i started draining it straight into a bucket and empty it every few hours because its making so much water.. I feel like theres something wrong with it.. But im thinking about raising it and putting the middle drain tube through my plexiglass window so it drains outside constantly.. Its cooling down half a 4 1/2 appartment .. Would cleaning it like you do in the video change the ammount of water it makes? Because ill try that.
@jhallock3 күн бұрын
My gf has this unit and it seems to put out a lot of water (humid here in Vancouver), is normal cooling mode supposed to have both drain plugs on the unit? Does water accumulate in the unit if you have both plugs sealed and then you have to drain it every now and then? The manual isn't clear on this. Thanks

Is there a way for bugs to get through the unit if you vent the exhaust hose through a window without a screen.
@alex05893 жыл бұрын
@@bialask if youre worried about that, you could buy a small piece of screen at a hardware store and install it at the end of the tube. Bugs cannot get in when the unit is working of course. I wouldn’t worry too much about it.

Hi, im not sure if my question will be seen.but mine is dripping LOTS of water out the bottom even after emptying both drain valves twice daily, so upon taking front off we noticed around a wire there is rubber or plastic ,one of mine is black from melting ,maybe it got hot im not sure,but is that repairable or does it need that plastic coating around the wire? We were gona trash it but they are super expensive and ive only just bought it a year ago last july..im not sure what to do
