In this video I show how to start up and drive the tractor, as well as raising and lowering the bucket and rear implement.

This is the most comprehensive and easy to watch tutorial i've seen so far. Other guys either talk too much, or don't film the essentials, ...etc.

Nice video ..I would suggest that in place of the 3 point hitch's adjustable but rigid top link that you remove the rigid top link and use a length of chain with a quicklink chain connector to set the chain length to the proper mower deck height when in the down and in use position ..the reason being ..when you cross perpendicular thru ditches, swags etc ..as you cross a ditch.. the front wheels go down into and then up to the other side ..when the main drive tires reach the bottom of the ditch the over all length of the tractor and mower is still on 3 points of contact with the front tires and the bogey wheel of the mower supporting all the weight (It actually would BUT what bends since the mower is rigidly affixed is the light structure of the mower) ..in essence every time you go thru uneven ground with a rigid top link the tractor's weight is "re-shaping" you mower deck/frame Just an idea to give your mower/bush-hog a chance to live ..

Really needed this. Now how do you go left and right?

You should consider removing the loader when doing field work, saves wear and tear on front axle parts and the loader itself. Also makes the whole setup shorter.

Just bought a 2016 JD 5055 tractor and found your videos to learn about operating it. You are doing an awesome job explaining everything -- way better than several other KZbin videos I've watched. I do have a question please. What is the brand of headphones you are using? Thank you! Diane W. in Minot, ND.

The tail implement is called a 3 point hitch just FYI for future reference when you want to describe that area

I would like to try to get you to not get on the tractor on that side I am a jd mechanic and I have heard that someone got into a tractor and ended up dropping the bucket on a kid I have no idea what it did to the kid or if there was stuff in the bucket but if that is how you do it at home by yourself then ok but please don’t do it on camera some newbie person might see think it is ok and get someone hurt thank you for reading

That's awful! Thank you for your concern, and for teaching me something new. I agree with you!

gregpryorhomestead I wasn’t getting on to you I just wanted you to know and a way to prevent it and don’t want to hear about something like that again but how do you like your tractor is it a great tractor
@gregpryorhomestead6 жыл бұрын
@@wileybranchfarms2626 no worries. I need to add a disclaimer or edit a new version. I've never heard of that risk. The tractor is beyond great! Occasionally it's too big. Lol

gregpryorhomestead thanks the only time I see them is when they are broken and I was just wondering I have a Alice charmers D-15 and was looking to add a newer John Deere tractor of that size with a loader and MFWD and it looks like that that might fit the bill
