Good points for people at the other side of the counter. For most of us customers, we value service and quality of products, those are the key in any hospitality business. When I went to your espresso bar, I was treated well and the coffee and bikkies were superb, regardless that Luke or Jimmy were not behind the machine (actually Jimmy made a 2 sec. appearance). I understand you strive in teaching that to your coffee partners so the Artisti experience could be found anywhere. By the way, I’m yet to find where your coffee partners are as I’m starving for another delicious coffee near home in QLD 😉

Lots of great points! I'll apply this to our restaurant business. We're a local Filipino restaurant so a little bit different than yours, but all your ideas are super valuable!

I can imagine having a Lawyer appreciation day for a coffee shop near a court or a Senator's appreciation day for a coffee shop next to a statehouse. A farmer's appreciation day for a coffee shop in the Cambodian provinces. I used to run a shop in Cambodia which was in a farming village with my girlfriend. One of my favorite things to do is try to figure out what people would buy. I realized pretty quickly that although farmers like cheesecakes they won't buy them on a daily basis however they like coffee as it keep them up while they are working. They like food that will fill them up and that they can carry to the field with them. I would make empanadas for them. Ground meat, raisins, hardboiled eggs, and were popular. I would also make similar foods such as Pierogies, calzones, and Dumplings which also were quite popular. I also found they liked pies made with locally grown fruits. Banana cream pie, Mango pie, and apple pie were popular. I would make the pies in cupcake pans and sell them for 25 cents a piece or 5 for a dollar. At the time I would make the bakes goods and my girlfriend would sell what I had made. She speaks the local language better than I do. However I would always eat lunch and breakfast out front which would bring in customers as they tend to like mingling with foreigners whenever possible. Sometime students would come in because they want to practice English. Seeing that I speak English I can also have an English night where I give all customers English classes.

What coffee machine i can buy for my coffee shop?
@anaisls79009 ай бұрын
I find those selling techniques to increase the average sale annoying. When I enter a cafe I usually know in advance what I want and I don't want to be "pushed" to buy more even if it's a gentle push. The only intention behind this inviation/suggestion is to sell more not to be nice or add value to my order. It gives me the impression you are trying to "get motre milk out of the cow". I am already loyal customer and this gives me the feeling that you are treating me like a money box more than a customer. Just let me order my coffee and try to get new customers instead of using marketing tricks on me.

Sure, if a business does not look to grow, unfortunately the place you go to won’t be there to give you your favourite coffee. No one should be pushy, perhaps you can invite your friends for a coffee, or recommend the place to your coworkers, these will support your local cafe more than you might expect. Cheers luke

Sure grow if you want to but why can’t a cafe just provide a steady stable income to those working in it?
@violinkid9 ай бұрын
@@michaeljones1836if your not growing your eventually going down hill. you need extra profit to redo that kitchen or replace appliances that die, to refitouit the front and put new chairs etc. the places that arent growing look older and older and get tired, and they eventually die

Yes that’s correct, wages go up, rent, food costs, 8% min to survive and to re invest in the fixtures and fittings of the shop as mentioned above. It’s simple business, we all have to earn more money each year to survive or we will have to go without something to have the same income. Inflation alone is 4% at the moment.

Unfortunately it's not your business and doesn't solely operate to serve you coffee. I'm sure if you're so miserable we won't miss your $4 coffee each morning 😊
