Thank you for the instructions I got one of these in a lot I bought and thought the quick set day was broken because of it being a Seiko. I figured someone had tried the quick set at the wrong time and broke it. Glad to see it’s working like it should.

Actually, you know what, I was experimenting and managed to find quick day of the week change - it works just like the old quick date set on lot of watches: after the day\date has changed, rotate backwards to 9 (or 10) and then forwards and the day of the week will be switched again

i just saw a bell matic exactly like yours although it's on a bracelet and i may be interested in purchasing it. any idea if $218 is a reasonable price?

Generally, price correlates with quality and condition. If you pay $100 for this watch and the seller is aware of other Bellmatic watches and their price point, you have to ask why the price is discounted. With a complicated movement like this you'll want assurances of quality.

A extra function on my 6030 model to set the day . Go to 12 than back to 9 or 9:30 then back to 12 to the correct day. Then when you push in the alarm button & it'll change the day . ID really have to find original paperwork to explain clearly.

I agree that’s an option, but I’m always hesitant to recommend ever running the calendar mechanism backwards. Thanks for the comment!

@@BlairWatchProject I'm new to watches & recently purchased one from the original owner. So far its working well but I do still want to have it looked at and checked out by someone who understands this type watch .

Servicing a watch is the only way to ensure it’s really functioning properly. Let me know if you’d like more information.

@@BlairWatchProject I'm cautious of stressing any mechanical watch movement with vociferous hour changing - it's alleged this can compromise the cannon pinion integrity. Can you confirm? tx
@BlairWatchProject2 жыл бұрын
@@MArk-yn4sp I've never thought of hour changing being particularly outspoken or candid. However, sometimes you just have to do what the watch requires. Cannon pinions are probably OK if they are properly lubricated and serviced.

why the vessel has the numbers backwards... the 50 is on the 2 oclock?
@BlairWatchProject3 жыл бұрын
The inner alarm bezel rotates, so the numbers end up wherever you put them.

@@fcotogheze Lol he literally answered your question. It's a rotating bezel, not a "vessel", the 50 is at 2 oclock because he rotated the bezel for it to be at 2 oclock.
