Optimizing display to show only in high CTR placements usually have as result really high CPC, so it's critical to be aware of the conversion rate metric and having a high converting landing page (because even if you don't convert, you are gonna be charged for that click).

Great video Aaron - best I have found on KZbin! Any tips for a local real estate agent please? I am trying to get valuations booked online and I have some success using search camps, but keywords like 'estate agents in my town' are also used by users not looking to book a valuation and it is very wasteful. I have targeted ad text but because the CTR is low due to users using the same keywords for other reasons, I'm a bit stuck! Anything you could suggest please?

Hi Aaron, I want to ask you a specific question. I need to give some detail to explain my question, so my apologies. I released an app for Android in April 2022. When I published the app, I started a worldwide install-targeted campaign for the first 14-30 days. Meanwhile, in-app sales data was also accumulating in Google Analytics. I then launched a target ROAS campaign for a specific country in mid-May and it was very successful. Then, until the end of September, I started target ROAS campaigns in 50-60 different countries and all of them gave successful results as I wanted. At the end of September, my app was suspended because I made a mistake, then I corrected my mistake and published a new app and everything is the same in the app, I published the same app, I did not change anything. Since I knew the campaign results of my previous app, I set up all my campaigns in the same way and started the campaigns directly with the target ROAS. So far, I have had very bad results from the campaigns of my new app. In fact, while the average CTR rate was 5-6% in my old campaigns, the same rate was 1-1.5% in my new campaigns. Today is the 5th day of my campaigns and the daily spending has decreased. Then, when I searched for target ROAS optimization on Google, I couldn't find any information, but I thought to myself that I created a worldwide app install target campaign in the first month in my previous app/campaign and I saw that I got 75,000-100,000 downloads from this campaign. I wonder if the algorithm uses the information we received from previous campaigns (downloads, in-app sales, who/which keyword downloads the most, etc.) in our new campaigns? So I wonder if my new app performed so badly because I started target ROAS campaigns directly? Before creating a target ROAS campaign, do I need to create a install campaign for those countries first and help Google teach which users to target? How can I follow the most efficient path before creating a target ROAS campaign? (For example; Open an install campaign and expect at least 1000 downloads and 100 in-app sales in 30 days, then create tROAS campaign.) Thank you in advance. 😀

what is your opinion on optimized targeting. google shows the ads to people that are not relevant to affinity / remarketing.

If you have some clear data that these audiences covert - optimised targeting is great

Hi Aaron, thank you for your content, I learned a lot about Google Ads from you and still learing, Quick question with the negative keywords what match type should you add the negative keyword in?
@AaronYoungGoogleAds2 жыл бұрын
Hi Eugene, glad to hear that you are finding good value in my content. As a default Google will add these as an [exact match] so if I want to block the full theme I will add as a broad match as well.

Hello! Thank you very much for the video, it was quite useful. I have a question about businesses, which do not convert online. For example - bed and mattresses store, but in the premium segment. The thing is, customers who visit website are not interested in purchasing online, or filling in lead forms. Mostly they are checking product descriptions on website and after going to retail store. How to measure results and optimize campaigns in this case? We went through all recommendations in your checklist, did huge work on optimisation, but still we are spending money and hope that we are getting customers in our retail store.
@AaronYoungGoogleAds2 жыл бұрын
In this case you could link your Google My Business profile to Google Ads and then add some lower level conversions like: - asked for directions (google maps) If you have a multiple locations you can set up store visit goals but this is dependant on your country
@artjomsjazvics69602 жыл бұрын
@@AaronYoungGoogleAds Yeah, we have tried Get direction as a conversion (we have 4 shops and all of them are linked to Ads account). Store vists are not working in most European countries. We used it in our search ads and Performance max ads for offline store visits. As a result we got more than 500 conversions (people were looking for how to find our retail store). But we have offline visit counters in our stores. And monthly reports showed us that we don't have an increase of offline traffic. So I am wondering, maybe there could be some other useful micro conversions we can track on our website? We had an idea to try avg. session duration or page view per session. What do you think, could it work?

I have to say, I think clicks from mobile apps are generally worthless.
@AaronYoungGoogleAds2 жыл бұрын
Yes agreed they are usually the first ones I exclude BUT I keep them to start because in some cases they do convert. My issue with them is the layout of the ads on apps
@iamnaveenkulkarni6 ай бұрын
Absolutely. Actually I am seeing even conversions which are fraud in nature. So people are clicking landing page and even submitting lead form. When our backoffice calls them for appointment, they say they filled it by mistake or they don't answer the call. Clearly sign of some click fraud is happening. So it's very difficult to justify the ROI.
