did your onexplayer x1 got bypass charging? cause my onexplayer x1 amd 8840u version got bypass charging, and it can set to enable always or disable when sleep or shutdown, but after i try to download the driver and any other thinks on discord, the bypass option on turbo button is gone, is it mean that my bypass charging feature is gone? or still working by automatically? please help

Yes. In discord it’s pinned in the channel that all the new Onexplayer models support bypass charging once at 100%. If enabled it doesn’t use the battery at all and just powers the device directly from the power source. In my one player console app, I have a function that says Battery Protection. If I click on it, I get a menu that lets me set a charge % limit and I can toggle on “Bypass power supply” with a few more features to select. You’ll want to check for updates for the app to make sure you have the current version of oxp console. Also, toggle RT over to the “others” tab and check the update center to make sure you have the latest bios available installed. 😊

Great video Nelly keep up the good work! 😊 I'll have to do this on all my devices on my next day off. Another good video you could do is show people how to install and setup certain programs like MSI afterburner for overlay, Rivatuner to cap fps and how to add losses scaling to Rivatuner to work together properly. Also a program called battery bar to have a battery that'll stay on your display at all time is really nice to have. After switching to the 780m drivers on Legion Go the amd overlay is sideways, and the Legion built in overlay doesn't work properly 😅

@@GamingRepairs Yeah it works well, you just cap your fps according to how many frames your screen can handle before experiencing tearing and how much frame generation you're using with losses (144hz display capped at 72 for x2, 48 for x3, and 36 for x4) all depends on what display you have 60hz, 90hz, 120hz or 144hz 👍

Hi Nelly, Please i real need some help. I received Yesterday my x1 mini,but my controllers won't work. I tried everything to do in the book to do, recalbration etc,but i can't even do any of these options to try, my left controller,the leds are off but it vibrates, but won't work my right controller have buttons mixed um. And led is on. Whend the controllers a docked the adapter of the console, they won't work. On the adapter i get the blue , they are sync to the console and all, but they won't work at all And if i open the TURBO overlay they move in the overlay by them self , they scroll left and right infinitly. I tried contacting one xplayer customer service. No help at all. They asked me for proof in videos, i sent alot of videos to them , but they gave me no help... Im really Desperate. With my legion go i never had these problems , i dont know what to do

I’ll do my best to help. First, what bios versions are you on? Should say in System information. If it just arrived yesterday you still fall within the 7 days and you emailed [e-mail] ? What bios version are you on? You can check in system information. You’ll want to update the bios first if you’re not on the newest version. Do you have the X1 mini or full size?

@ so first thing thanks for responding. So I updated the bios and was able to change resolution to 1080 and I'm getting about 30-35 fps which is a huuuge improvement but the screen sometime gets really narrow

You’re welcome! 😊 I have it downloaded but I haven’t played it yet. It’s there an option in the graphics settings called render scaling? Because the onexplayer X1 is a portrait display, some game won’t let you change the resolution from 1600p without making the display narrow or weird. But if there render scaling, you can scale down to reduce the resolution without getting a narrow or weird display. Also, are you on the newest AMD driver or Intel depending on which X1 version you have?

I thought I had it locked but apparently I didn't. Btw you should play it. I haven't been gaming much this entire year and poe2 has had me glued 😅

What does vram do for games?

On my 32GB ram devices, I have it set to 10GB-12GB of VRAM. On my Legion Go, it was set to Auto. Set and forget using the eGPU. Otherwise it would be 5-6GB out of 16GB with only the Legion Go. On my Ally X, I use 8GB out of 24GB. Or Auto if I’m using the eGPU.

You could always DDU then try reinstall the October driver. I just released a video today for Metaphor ReFantazio and the OneXGPU with the X1 mini using the October drivers and everything works. Hi Nelly. Great channel for x1 series btw. with 8.8in screen in normal playing distance, 720p with max setting vs 1600p with lowest setting. Which one is preferable?

Hi! Thank you! 😁 I’ll also default to higher resolution with the lowest settings if I can get a decent FPS of 60+. Baldur’s Gate 3 for example is 1080p lowest or 900p medium ish depending the performance. I want those cut scenes to be beautiful. 😂👌 The higher resolution will be a battery hog though. 😅

Have you sold it, or is it just left out because this one is better, or if you could do a comparison video? I would much appreciate it. Also, I'm looking into getting a tablet but strongly think of getting the OneXplayer "tablet" or this one that you got. Also, we have just been warned about the new OneXplayer GPU V2, which looks sick. So I'm covered with what I got (legion + 1xgpu) for my YT streams and fair video editing on the go. Hey! Thank you! Current status on my Legion Go... I sold it to a friend with all my cool accessories and bought a Rog Ally X (The Rog Ally has a special place in my heart). For this video I used the X1 Mini by request. What I found with the X1 Mini and the Legion Go (still a really great device) is that it had comparable performance on most games unless the VRAM limitations were a factor. The advantages of the X1 would be the oculink port for higher egpu performance, 8840u driver has seemless AMD Adrenaline compatibility with the onexgpu (no sideloading the 780m drivers), 32GB and 64GB ram options, attachable keyboard, USB 3.2 port, 65W battery. The ram isn't as important if your using the onexgpu though. And yes, the V2 does look sick! It sounds like the new AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 chips should be starting to release with Onexplayer around October pre-ordering if you can wait to see what that looks like. The full sized X1 AMD 8849u would be my top pick for the use cases that you mentioned. My full sized X1 is still my favorite device (the onexgpu fills the gaps from intel). I use it as a laptop just as much as a handheld. Love it! 😁

Hey! You’re welcome! 😊 No mine aren't loose but there was an issue with the early X1 intel units. I would say that my intel X1 is not quite as tight as my mini. There's a fix that Onexplayer put out with a rubber washer for the screws to make it tighter. I'd email them and include a short video. [e-mail]

@ I’m updating just the drivers For now, I’ve been having issues running certain games on steam, evil within for example. The screen goes black and starts flickering. Have to manually shut off the X1. Figured updating the drivers will help

Is your Onexplayer console app updated to the current version? The other day I broke my Intel X1 overlay with only the fps showing. To get it back, I uninstalled both, restarted, then installed both(using the updated RTSS file), then restarted again. It came back.

Check if there’s a new bios update too. I noticed in the onexconsole app that they actually have the bios update in the update tab now. I updated my x1 mini the other day after noticing there was actually a bios update in there haha.

If you toggle over the Performance overlay icon on onexconsole and press Y, the side bar menu comes up. My settings are, Global Framerate Limit = Unlimited and Performance Overlay Mode = System Global Display. Does yours match this? Also, is it not showing all the stats in multiple games or just one specific game?

I am confused between this device and ROG ally x ...Have you had any problems with this device? and how many hours do you get on AAA games? What do you recommend me to buy?

If you plan to add an eGPU, go with the X1 mini 8840u. It has an oculink port that makes AAA performance on a eGPU maximized over the Thunderbolt 4 limitations. The 8840u is also more compatible with AMD egpu’s. The rig ally requires you to side load the drivers and mange it differently. The mini’s keyboard is a plus too if you want to be able to type and use it like a mini laptop on occasion. I’ve been using both all week and they are both really great. I do prefer the 1600p 144hz display on the X1 mini over the 1080p 120hz on the Ally. Game performance will be basically the same for 1080p and below settings. Games like Hades, I play on 1600p 144hz where as on the ally I’m limited to 1080p 120hz. Still both look and play great. The battery will last longer on the ally x if you’re looking to capture more play time without a plug or battery bank. What games are you wanting to play?

80 Wh on the ally x vs 65 Wh on the X1 mini. 25% ish longer life On the Ally X I’m having issues with the sound crackling even with Spatial Audio off which is weird. My finger print reader is also having issue. I’m working through troubleshooting those two problems right now. Pretty sure it’s from the last bios update. Ally x also uses a 2280 nvme so you can upgrade to a 4TB. The Mini uses 2230 or 2242 which cap at 2TB. Asus Armoury crate is great and very user friendly. For those games, you would never play them over 1080p anyways because the fps would be rough. Best Buy does have some ally X open box units now for $100 CAD less.
