I've moved to this system too. One addition I make to the label is the number of pieces to the set, that way I know if something is missing when I'm packing up.

As a newish scrapbooker I have gradually accumulated supplies but didn’t have a good system for storing them. Your videos have been a game changer for me thank you. I buy photo albums at the thrift store, the kind with plastic pages and sort of non-woven fabric inside (making 2 sides. I "eviscerate" the albums, which are never more than a couple of dollars, and use the pages to store stamps on one side, dies on the other. I have them in a plastic bin from the $ store; it holds a lot, and as you said, when one is full you can always get another! Some of the albums have been upcycled into personalized mini albums, too! As I don't have a labeling machine, I just cut the info off of the packaging and drop it inside along with the stamps/dies. They don't close the way the Avery Elle ones do, but they do come in sizes, and the price is great. I will look for the magnet sheets you use, tho - the ones that come with some of the dies never seem to be strong enough to keep them in place.

Thanks for sharing these awesome ideas, I did think of those albums but I was concerned about loosing some of the smaller dies and worry about the security of the non close-able pockets. It's always nice when others share here though so we can all get ideas and yours would be cheaper than what I'm doing for sure. I really think the quality of the Avery Elle pockets are worth it though for me. 💗

Thanks! I like how simple and yet particular you are when doing things... exactly what I’m looking for. I love how neatly the dies look when you’re done. Right now mine are just in a shoe box and I had considered putting them on a big magnet on the door but I know it would drive me nuts every time I would go in my office .... this is so much neater. 💕🇨🇦

It's a fine balance, I get that we need to see what we have in order to use it BUT if everything is out and in sight I would be ohh so overwhelmed. I scored a bundle of calendar magnets from my son when he changed companies. I put double sided tape on the back of them and stick them to card. Ask around at real estate agents or similar companies to see if they have outdated magnetic calendars. They work a treat.

@@CreatedByGwen As my husband says, ‘Cheap is good, free is best!’ My son also gave me a giant box of letterheaded paper. It’s beautiful quality so I use it both at school (I’m a chaplain) and at home. I cut up the paper to make inserts for my coloured cardstock cards.

Great video on storing stamps and dies and so much like what I do with mine only I like to have my dies in a bin with a lid so they don't get dusty. The size is pretty close to yours but I store mine on their side in the bins and store by themes. My stamps are done almost the same way. I totally agree with you about the "shelf life" of double sided tape etc. it sure is a thing up here in Queensland.

Thanks for popping by the channel today Robyn, I do wish these containers had lids. The dies and stamps don't get dusty because they are inside the envelopes but the envelopes themselves do. There certainly is something about the QLD sun and humidity that can really affect things! One of few downsides of living in this beautiful state. ☀️

I have thought about a catalogue, I know many of the ladies use them. Great for when you are out shopping and not sure if you have a particular die or not. I'm not sure I'd look through a catalogue when I'm home though, I think I'd prefer to flip through the actual sets (maybe). Do you have one?

So glad you found this helpful... it's interesting, I've seen a few people who store with binders, but personally for me I've found them to be so bulky to store and handle. I know myself super well and know I'd avoid pulling out big heavy binders to search for a die. I love just grabbing this box and flipping through to see my options. Thanks for popping by today 🌸

The heart ones? They are from a brand called @UniquelyCreative and are called 'Nordic Hearts'.
