These curtains look better than what I've seen in other videos. Usually I'm not one for curtains, but I'd get something like this.

Oh my I love you for making this video! I'm currently sketching ideas on ow yo change my closet. I'm going into my senior year of high school this year and I want to fix up my whole room including my closet to make my last year at home super fun and comfy. I'm so glad I found this video. My closet is the same size which really helps!

Really great ideas! And I love how it turned out. I especially love how you use really simple tools that don't require a whole woodworking shop to make changes. I live in an apartment, and can only store small tools like you show. THANK YOU for your inspiration!

I love your videos. All of the decorating tips and step-by-step instructions are so easy to follow. I have been a renter for a long time and most landlords don't mind these temporary changes as long as you can return the space to the original state when you move out. Some landlord might love your improvements too.

I think it's a matter of preference. I like using the spring loaded ones - I find it easier to set the tension just right.

I think i am going to use this method for the inside, but instead of the curtains, since im at home, i will put in colorful bead curtains and different doors than i have now. Thank you SO much for this video and i definetely will be using this !! Can you make videos on furniture for teen rooms please??

When I asked the apartment people if they could store my closet doors for me, they looked at me like I had 3 heads. And I have a loft bed, so... nope. Super-bummed. I did make some adjustments, tho, and moved a shelf that they told me had to stay in. I just took out 2 screws and swung it out of the way and tied it up to the wall in the back. It's still there!! Pfffft! I wanted to do that similar thing to the vertical blinds that you did, too, but nope. Everyone's place has to look the same from the outside and has to be "normal". Oppressive! Can't wait to move so I can do all these cool things you come up with!
@EngineerYourSpace4 жыл бұрын
Bummer! But for the vertical blinds, you can use nono brackets to hang curtains in front of the vertical blinds, so from the outside it looks "nomal". Here a link to the brackets: amzn.to/2jSLgWP Hope this helps!

Informative, helpful, and very well presented. So many organizing videos have such a snotty host, or a "this is the only way you can fix this" attitude. You are friendly and present infromation in a very helpful way. GOOD JOB!!! And Thank You.

I don't understand why you don't keep the shelf where it is. It seems like great storage space. I always put my out-of-season items up there. I'm short, too, and won't be able to reach my clothes if up that high. Also, you can buy metal bars that you can hang from the existing clothes rods and they are adjustable. I have had double rods in my closets for years and my closets are SMALL. Just seems like too much work....but love the curtains lol.
@SmidBeach5 жыл бұрын
I agree -- I'm also short, and this is *way* too much work for too little benefit. When folded items are too high up, the space just gets messy; that hanging clothes rack is more useful on a normal height rod. I use double rods for one side of the closet and the other side for accessory racks. Someone who wants to "see everything" that badly could use that middle space for out-of-season hanger items.

this is great..my closets are the same way...but too much for me to creat this, however, I had my landlord remove the narrow closet doors throught out my apt and Im using sheer curtains instead...looks a lot better than those white doors!

@GiGiWellness289 жыл бұрын
Kayla S Just want to know exactly what did you mean by "they get in the way", cos I'm planning to make the swap. We won't have the same concern about not able to use those over the door storage, cos our closet doors are the same as this video's - sliding doors.
@kaylas68519 жыл бұрын
GiGiWellness28 I'm not sure how to like exactly say what I mean it's just that the curtains are really annoying and go into my face, so I just tied them into a big knot now instead of leaving them down like regular curtains.
@GiGiWellness289 жыл бұрын
Kayla S Oh! I think I understand. So with the curtains tied up, that means you must keep your closet tidy! How about any issues with dust? I think to have an open closet, my 2 concerns are tidiness and dust :-) Thanks for replying.
