I am new! I heard your guest spot with Dr Rangan Chatterjee yesterday and bought the book and am exploring your wonderful contributions here. I particularly like the 10 memorising tips on the body. I was happy that I am already eating all the brain foods except salmon as I am a vegetarian. I am 80 and very healthy but one can never too TOO healthy! So I continue to explore new ways to improve myself. Thank you!🤗

My creativity time varies, one time I woke up in the middle of the night with a melody in my head that I had to write down and so I did and later on became a song and music video. Same thing when I write for theater or film, or when working on Voice Over projects, ideas may come at any time as unexpected guests but always welcomed, bringing me joy, excitement, a state of flow, yes afterwards there’s fatigue too but never burnt-outs. 😀

Thanks Jim : This is the best organize of a day That I ever heard . There are a lot of "famous you tubers" that have complicated cronograms that takes more time to do than the actually things during the day . This is actually simple , very Smart , and efficient. There is always a difference whenever you are a creator or entrepeneur ( like you) vs a worker who has an schedule to fullfill but still it will help me to divide my day . And something very important:" devices not in the first or the last part of the day ". I will try to accommodate to my working day .

i think the clearing phase is the one that stood out to me. i often find brain going non stop even when it's time to sleep. i usually do some stretching, and some reading, till i fell asleep. but the clearing one is a revelation- and i think i will also reflect on the feelings and emotions i've had throughout the day, as i find they can definitely build up if you don't address them. i did this a bit more earlier in the year, but got complacent once my emotional baseline was in a decent state.

Hey Jim, thank you! So far, after my morning routine, I aim to go into work and work on the hardest projects in the office in the morning. In reality, I go to the office, everyone wants something from me, I do some urgent tasks, I answer some mails, I go into meetings, by afternoon I am tired already, learning seems to not fit here, in the evening will do a sports activity and then all I want is to crash. I don't control my day as I wish. My plan is to start my day with exercise, then 1h of learning, then work, evening relax and meditation. This episode made me thinking how can I reshuffle my day to use my brain and time to the max... Have a great one!

Your ideas are super cool… I apply some similar techniques that I taught myself as a kid… I don’t know the neuroscience, but I think some of us might have different times of day that work for the different phases… Wondering what your thoughts about the differences in our chosen times of day for creating consuming and clearing… For example, I just always seem to feel better about creating in the afternoon and it’s possibly because I used to do my homework at that time, lol… And for example, I can’t get through the day if I haven’t had my work out in the morning… Which is also when I meditate… but I do love that break things down into these chunks of focus … I was literally telling this to someone the other day… I felt that I had to really protect my focus… And during this time in history, I think it’s probably more evident that quality focus is precious…. But so is our ability to connect …

Thank you 🙏🏽. I’m entering a new and exciting phase of my life, resigning my 9-9 job and stepping back to write and research, but also pursue some entrepreneurial endeavors. I realized after 15 years in a corporate setting you forget how to use your time optimally as you’re always on someone else’s schedule and deadline. I’m not a writer or entrepreneur so this is a new frontier for me and I find myself with loads of ideas and skeleton plans but a bit stuck mentally. I’m excited to get unstuck but know I need some help and guidance starting with simple approaches like this one. I appreciate this!!!

First, thank you Jim for being my brain coach! Your insights and techniques aren't just actionable but enjoyable. I truly enjoyed this episode because it broke my day in a way that I didn't articulate before. I'm more creative in the morning and my focus to create starts to wane by mid-afternoon. The past year I started getting into audiobooks (prior to that I was a TOTAL physical book snob). I find listening to audiobooks and podcasts work better for me in the afternoon. And around 4-5pm, I'm starting to wind down for the day. Create, consume and clear pretty much sums up how I spend my day. Thank you!
