Good morning! I really regret purchasing my dressers, I even purchased the 3 drawer dresser, one for myself and husband as “night stands”. Thank goodness I did because we needed the space. I brought them from west elm and they are the smallest dresser drawers ever! I was so in love with the look that I never payed any attention that they are “mid century” size. So I have my jeans in a long wicker basket as well as my handbags under my bed. Unfortunately the container store no longer sells that size. I’m going to get the sweater bins for my shelf in my closet, didn’t think of that. I just rolled my clothes and that freed up so much space. If I buy anything new I pretty much have to get rid of something “old”. It’s to the point that all my husbands clothes now are hanging up, because I’ve taken over the 6 drawer dresser. This was very helpful, so I’m back on the container store site purchasing more. Stay safe out there. 😊

Great tips. I keep my jeans and other casual pants in much the same way! I think it is time to purge my drawers, and maybe I’ll buy some dividers, to help keep things in place. There’s always room for improvement, but I use many of the tips you recommend and vouch for their efficacy. Specially the folding and storing clothes standing up rather than laying flat and piling one on top of the other. I got the idea from the Kon Mary method and it works! You can see everything at a glance and can grab something without messing up the whole drawer.

I love your jeans fold! I understand completely. I think there are two components to it. First, the bottom leg gets its own “clean” fold; and second, the bottom leg is set in place so when you fold the top leg over so the whole thing doesn’t creep over the unfolded edge!

Hi Erin! Thanks so much for posting this video series. I have been working on organizing my closets and dressers since Sunday when I think you posted the first video. It was on my to do list of quarantine projects anyway so your video series motivated me to get started. I did some purging ordered a clean out bag from ThredUp and put some things in the donate bin. I also switched up some of my drawers and I am REALLY excited to try your jean folding technique. I am going to order a scarf hanger from Amazon. I have one, but it isn’t good for my bigger scarves so I am hoping the one I get from Amazon will do the trick. It comes in a pack of 3 and I think I can use any I don’t use for scarves for my capri pants which I wear a lot in the summer. Take care and stay safe!

I fold EVERYTHING based on the drawer, cubby or bin they are going in. I feel bad when anyone tries to help me fold laundry and I have to unfold and show them how I do it. I always explain though, it’s not that their way is incorrect, it’s just that this is the way that they fit best in the drawer or wherever they go.

It's a little different, Jeanette. I don't fold the bottom of the jean to the very top (I leave about an inch). This works best for the depth of my drawers. You may have to play around with it a little to find the right size for yours. xo
