For some Disney Springs restaurants, you can book reservations on Open Table and avoid the 60-day limit.

One of the few benefits left being a passholder - I got a Value Resort for $87 a night in January- Mon -Thurs - weekend nights were only $110!!

Ohhh that’s good to know!!! I’m crunching numbers, we are headed there for 8 days next month and I’d like to return one more time by next January! So I think just for ticket costs alone it may work out but it’s such a huge investment!

I believe that the Swan Dolphin as well as Good Neighbor hotels carry parking fees as well as "resort fees" - so the seemingly low price is by no means the actual nightly cost for the room.
@MikaTyni

I checked the prices of Swan for October next year. It was around 4.500 dollars per night. I wouldn't call that a good value...

Curious where you're getting those low prices for the Swan and Dolphin? I remember those prices pre-covid but for the past year and looking into 2024, it's well over $500/night.

Great tips and very accurate because I actually booked Coronado basic room through Priceline for about $216 a night. We definitely hit the jackpot going through the third party and still able to get the same benefits such as early morning magic.

You said multiple times "little to no wait times" for after hours events or extended evening hours. I have never been to one of these events and had little to no wait times. As a matter of fact they've all been crowded and I waited longer for attractions because there's no genie+.

Most school if given advance notice will give your kids makeup work and mark the days off as an excused absence. We are going Sat-Thurs. Returning home on Friday. So my kid will miss 5 days and have a whole weekend after returning home to do her makeup work.

We just came back from a trip in November. We are going on one other trip this July to celebrate my daughter’s high school graduation. We just tried the family suites at the Art of Animation, for the first time and we loved the hotel and all the amenities in the hotel and the suites. This trip,we are staying where we usually do at the wilderness lodge, boulder ridge.I would honesty say for slightly less money, the value suites were a little nicer. We had a lot more space.The food court was great too.

My question is this: Do you REALLY want to spend your vacation trying to outsmart the place you're visiting? More and more, WDWR sounds like work, not play. Unless your idea of relaxing is spending hours on an app, including the time you're in the park.

At my 60 day mark, should I book Ohana, which will be the first day of our trip, or Homecomin’ brunch, which will be the last day of our trip? I feel like I should do Ohana first since it’s the earlier date, but I know Homecomin’ brunch goes fast. What should I do?

I’d book Ohana, because not everyone will have a trip the same length as yours, and then immediately book Homecomin’, since that will be 60+ days, and have a more limited group of people trying for it.

Dad DOES expect you to pay him back! Especially if he's taken you to Disney every year of your life and it's been paid for up till you moved out and got a good job. Don't put that bologna in grown adults minds in this day and time. Maybe there are dads out there that make a surplus of money and can afford his and his grown kids bills, but I don't know of any myself.
@mx4073

So let me get this straight, I'm going to Disney paying a bunch of money fighting crowds of people and now I have to try and outsmart everyone. This is not a vacation its more like the hunger games! I'll just spend my money some were else and just relax like a vacation is supposed to be. I grew up and live in Florida and as a Floridian we learned a long time ago Disney is for tourist to drop off their money and go home. My two grown kids don't even go back to that place were they heard you like cattle and rob you blind for a mediocre experience.

With HEA in the after hours, crowds coudl be over packed you can't move an inch. Downside fo rEnchantment is not only for after hours guests, but also yong kids could not stay awake even if Enchantment features Mickey Mouse. If that happens, wshoudl Enchantment go back to the original (like the pandemic era)? I was sp=ippose to visit Walt Disney World fo rmy 49th birthday to chatch Enchament in 2022, but due to my family issues and everything else, I'll never see it live, and perminately refused HEA for my 50th which EPCOT Forever replace that time to save my loss of interests.
