I remember when Chicken Soup for the Teenage Soul came out. I was in Jr College in Scottsdale, Arizona. I did side jobs for extra money. I loved driving Author's t around to do book signings and radio and TV talks. It meant a lot to drive Patti and Irene, writers of the book around. I still have their autographs and kind messages they put on the book they gave me. I'm grateful, it is one of those special memories in one's life on this planet. I was reflecting last year on this. Now the past 3 months I've had the great pleasure of doing some of your work. My Deepest Gratitude Jack, thank you for all you do. A great light on this planet. Just had to share. God Bless.

During a difficult season I listened your book about self confidence on CD almost non-stop. It was so profound. My mantra became " No matter what you say or do to me I am still a worthwhile person." I also had to borrow other affirmations from that book. Your wisdom helped changed the course of my life. Thank you.

Hi Jack, Thanks indeed for sharing this very informative video. I joined a company 3 years ago as Underwriter. Just 3 months after joining, they created a new department to handle new branch of businesses. Everyone in the company was afraid to handle these new lines of businesses because of lack of background and higher exposure to risks due to the very specifics nature of this lines of businesses. Despite the small background and some experience I've gained from my previous job, the litle inner voice kept discouraging me. I didn't give up and finally overcoming the imposter syndrome and went on to meet my boss and told him that I up for the job in that new departement...In the course of the third month of my six months probationary period I was transfered in this departement. For three years now I've been handling this line of businesses with great results. Since then, I subscribed on my own for seminars, using my spare time to call people more experienced than me, even those working as competitors and I'm currently taking online course. I now face the imposter syndrome again because the inner voice is saying to me that I'm not able to lead a seminar for our clients despite I've built capability over the past three years.I 've been responding to partners request for advice and expertise. My company is looking for someone abroad to lead seminar for our clients on this. To overcome this, I'm going to meet my boss and ask for a chance to lead this seminar. This is both an opportunity for my company, as they can save money, and for me ,as I can gain professional recognition. I'll be grateful if anyone can suggest differents approach in order for me to succeed in convincing my boss.

The imposter thought with me is that I feel I will always be picked on belittled and completely torn down no matter how diligent I am in planning and being of service x I fully intend to practice feeling safe feeling supported feeling encouraged and feeling appreciated Thankyou thankyou thankyou jack and the gang x 🙏😇

Interestingly, my support group does not consist of my fun, dear, close-by, and social friends; I often end up coaching them or providing that listening ear they so need. My support group formed over the past few years with 4-5 people who live far from where I live (the Cayman Islands) and are in a slightly higher age bracket. These incredible women and men are interested, responsive to, and encouraging of all I have accomplished and continue to aspire to do. Be open to expanding your support group.

I started writing as a young child. I am good at it, my work is a bit different from most. I started writing my very first book last year. Now I'm in the process of organizing the manuscript. My energy and focus is all over the place now. I want to self publish and doubt, fear and anxiety have kicked in. Blocking my progress. Tons of how's, why's and will other's read it. It's a nonfiction, self-help workbook for Trauma/ Complex Trauma and integration. My Imposter Syndrome appears to be feeding the blocks mentioned above.

‘If you don’t measure it, you can’t control it’ and Jack’s ideas about ‘tracking your efforts’ will reaffirm your ‘abilities’ and avoid unnecessary ‘self-doubt’. But the idea of building a ‘support system’ is a ‘home run’ because peer-to-peer groups not only help you to hold yourself accountable but also provide independent, unbiased affirmation of your ‘greatness’.
