Dude, why? There's nothing wrong with you that doesn't apply to all of the rest of us. You're a decent looking guy and you're obviously on the intelligent side of the spectrum because you look at videos like this one. You're letting your fears dictate what you will and will not do. I know it's hard to overcome one's fear(s) but I discovered a long time ago a way to make fear disappear - step into it. When I was in my 20's I decided to become a mobile DJ and I started by working for the fraternities and sororities at UCLA and USC. I remember more than one occasion when I drove to where the fraternities are and sat in my parked car, paralyzed with fear, unable to get out. "They're gonna say no. I'm not going to get any work. They're gonna look at me and tell me to fuck off." But I mustered up the courage to open the door and step out of my car - and into my fear. And what happened? As soon as I stepped out of my car, I could feel the fear dissipate, like steam disappearing into the air. And as I walked toward the fraternities, my courage gathered momentum and as I walked into each of them, I felt confident and worthy of their business. Did I get every job from every fraternity I went to? Of course not. But I got a bunch of them and I worked successfully as a mobile DJ for 11 years, doing all sorts of gigs, until I decided to move on to something else. Your fears are giving you excuses to not go out there and connect. You're letting them run your life. Dude, I don't even know you but I know that you have no good reason to not go out there and try to connect. Will every girl you ask out accept your invitation? No, of course not. But there will be those who will. Work on elevating your feelings of self-worth. Where are your insecurities coming from? Who told you that you were undesirable or worthless? Who the fuck are they? I can assure that whatever shit people told you about you and how inferior you are were not reflections of YOU, they were reflections of THEM. THEY were the inferior, worthless ones who were trying to make themselves feel better about themselves by trying to put you down and undermine your sense of self-worth. You are a much better person than you give yourself credit for. I know it. It's high time you accept yourself and all the good things you are, for there is much that is good and even great about you. Trust me but even more importantly, trust yourself and have faith in yourself.

You never try you never know. Worst thing that can happen? She says no. And then? You’ll be sad for a couple of weeks or months and then you’ll move on in live. What if you don’t ask her out? Well you will probably regret that shit for half of your life. So what’s better? Chance of success+couple of weeks if it doesn’t work out or no chance of success at all+ regrets for months if not years. I mean I think anybody can answer that question.

Rejection is so sad hard to overcome. In large it can be because its so personal like you said its a hit to our own personal value. We want to feel needed and wanted, we want to feel desirable and when we are rejected it can often feel that this all erodes. Understanding our own worth and integrateing with groups that appreciate us can be really helpful after rejection. Thanks for this!

Broo, I totally feel you... at least a hug for you now! I deal with the same issue, my parents tell me that I have no idea about depression, but they have no idea how wrong they are.... . I struggle with porn addiction, and also that shit keeps me away from girls, and also loneliness.... I have some acquaintances whom I would care for, but they live far away, and this hurts af.. I'm also not motivated at all mostly, i dealt with lots of toxic " friends " ( ohh, fuck them... ) and sometimes still dealing with. I'm a loner, and mostly all I can do is just to sit at home: PC ->loneliness -> PC -> loneliness -> watching movie -> loneliness.... I'm literally disgusted by loneliness... With that being said, I would tell you to better risk yourself, because, based on my experiences even though I'm fucked up, I can tell that you'll better risk , fail, get rejected, then after regreting it from not doing it! Others laughed at me whenever I tried something, but that's how stuff work unfortunately... Lastly, my goal for this year is to let go of that fucking porn, to start being more confident and high self esteem in fron of womans/people, to not be naiv like I used to be, and to get rejected than regrets. I know how it feels like to be down like all the time, but for me, even If my life is kinda fucked up, I can't enjoy almost nothing, being sad, depressed & lonely, I'd still choose to try & suffer now and then hopefully getting a better life, than regreting and not doing anything at all! Now I don't wanna tell you like others that oooh, everything will be alright, or it will be better soon... no ! Just to be ok when you fuck up, when others judge/criticize you ! Happy New Year and be strong!

Jim Morrison said; Women seem wicked when your unwanted, streets are uneven, when your down. But Jim Morrison also said that when your down; The Music Is Your Only Friend. As you mentioned perhaps they didn't deserve you . At any rate it's time to move on because life moves on and it certainly doesn't stand still. Very cool info which shows things from different perspectives. It's sad that this info, Y-Tube, and the internet didn't exist in 1980. One had to go to book stores to buy books on the subject. But life is worth living & rejections are part of life.

Everyone that gets rejected by people having negative thoughts should overcome that. Everyone that gets passed over by negative people should be motivated by rejection. What I'm saying is that you shouldn't let rejection make you give up whether you're dating, doing business, or doing anything else.

It took me 2 months to force myself to ask her out and she said yes. First date in like 9 years. Well she didn't show up. A year later I asked another girl out after the same trying to get the balls to ask her. We had coffee several times and then she started asking me to pay her cell bill. Then that's all it turned into. It took me 9 years with the last girl. I then got used for money by the next one. Why the fuck should I ever try to go down that road again?

Ofc I’m scared shitless of being rejected and not be able to even build that closer relationship because she would put a clear distance between us.

My first thought would be to try to come closer. If this works : lovely !! You can, if you can and want, move on I think. If not, than I hope you guys can still be 'friends' ... I went for it immediately. Didn't work. But, to make you even more indecisive (sorry, I know) : every girl is different. Do what your heart tells you to do.

How to overcome rejection, from women = don't ask in the first place. Social acceptance is NOT NECESSARY. I went through 5 years of university studying math, and graduated having spoken to less than 10 people - once each. If you have to be around other people to feel like your life is worth living, then it's not, it's worthless.
