Hi Jun! Thank you so much for your useful tips! They will definitely be helpful for my Spanish journey. 🇪🇸 When I was a child and interacted with native speakers, I felt so confident. (This is about English) For Spanish; I really hope I'll be able to go to Spain for a language course, but right now, I'm working, that's not possible. However, I'm hoping that by manifesting it, I can go to Spain to improve my speaking skills. I'm still learning on Duolingo, sometimes I don't complete all the exercises like I used to. I think I need to get myself together. Thanks again.

Thank you so much for sharing your Spanish journey! I really hope you'll get a chance to go to Spain soon for a language course. Before you go, you can certainly try to maximize your exposure to Spanish, like you are doing by using apps. I know it's hard to balance language learning with a full-time job. I have to tell myself every day to stick to my language learning habits haha. And you are welcome!

Thank you for this video, Jun! I definitely found myself experiencing a lot of these concerns, especially being judged. For a long time I avoided speaking English with others because I was afraid of being judged because of my accent, and it was only after I started talking to others that I started improving my accent and speaking skills. I also agree with you that people may be more understanding than we think. I feel really lucky that I've met very nice native speakers of my target languages. The thing is that we have to be more understanding with ourselves and our own learning process.

Thank you so much for sharing your journey. You made a great point here that we really should be more understanding with ourselves. In my video, I guess I was just thinking about the learning itself. It's also important to have a group of speakers (native or fellow international) that are patient, but still take you seriously as a person in your target language.

Thank you for that usefull video ! Thank you so much for all the tips :) I have all his fears at the same time ahah... It's really hard. Someone once made a negative remark about my English accent because I'm French, and since then I've found it really hard to dare to speak even if I force myself to. But now I really have this problem with Korean! I managed to order in Korean for the first time in a restaurant, but I don't know why I felt so ridiculous doing it ahaha..I don't have much advice to give, I'm just trying to accept that it's normal to make mistakes and that trying is already good enough. I also try (even if it's very difficult) not to compare myself too much with others and to go at my own speed.

@quentin3331 Thank you so much for sharing yours and I am glad to hear these were helpful! And I am so sorry to hear about the negative comment you got. They just don't seem to know what it's like to learn a foreign language. I understand that those comments could hit us hard. But I would still want to encourage you to keep drilling into speaking English! It's part of our learning curve as language learners, you know, getting all those judgmental looks and laughs. Couldn't agree with you more on that! Making mistakes is totally normal.

We should also speak the foreign language very confidently and in the beginning there will be a few mistakes, people will laugh and make fun of us, we shouldn't worry about it at all. Man learns only from small mistakes, we should never lose our courage and motivation
