Hey if you didn't know already, you can get free sticker labels from ups and usps. You can order them in a roll (they're usually glossy) and the single sheet ones are usually matte. Thanks for all your advice though! Just subscribed, you sound like such a sweet person🥺

I’m a beginner at shipping :) my question is does every package need to be weighed on a shipping scale or just heavy items ? Does the postal office weigh them for you before shipping them off ? How do you handle like paying for shipping if they paid and you take it to the post office? How does that work? And how does the post office know that the shipping is paid for?

Hannah Karlyn heyy love ! Hey you ship with depop they automatically take out the money soo lets say the item was $10 and the shipping was $4.50 once the person pays the $10 depop will take the shipping out of that if your paying for it so you will only get $5.50. When ship with depop they send you the shipping label which is already paid for so you just have to drop it off 😊 i hope this helped

Astrid Melendez yea you can get packages for free at the post office. All their boxes and envelopes are free (i believe you can only use the flat rate priority ones but im not sure ) . I just like to have my own packaging ❤️

I just create my depop! This helped a lot. I still don’t understand the label purposes. Like they emailed it to me. If I don’t have a printer. It would work if I print it in the same UPS and put it there before shipping or how did that works. I have use labels before on my college to return books, but they haven’t let me print the label there. So it confuse me if they won’t for this too? Thank you so much ✨

Sandra Houghton so if you dont have a printer you will have to ship on your own. You can go to the post office to get the label. If you have a printer you can ship with depop which is pretty easy, they send you the label and you just tape it to the package

I think they only pick up letter like that but you can always try it and if they dont take it you can go to the post office and drop it off it the blue bins or inside

In general, one package would have to be priority mail in order for them to pick it up....(I Do Ebay as well and that's how it works for larger packages). Anything smaller that DOES fit in the mailbox, I don't have to schedule a pick up. Hope that helps! :)

You could estimate the shipping but if it ends up being more your package will get returned to you so i always recommend getting a scale

You are supposed to weight the item when ur listing it. When you ship with depop they send you a label that is already paid for so you just have yo drop it off.

Genesis Ordonez i dont think you can print at the post office . I would ship on my own that way you can take it to the post office. When you ship on your own you can still charge the buyer for shipping too.
