Beautiful mate, id love to see you tackle this scheme on a larger surface like a bike or tank
@adrienkentart Жыл бұрын
Thanks! Yeah that'll be coming soon. At least the bikes and termies will get a video but if I can afford it Aussie prices being what they are I'll do one of the Forgeworld Telemon dreads or a Contemptor dread. :)

Found your channel trying to find people doing good glazing over metallics, especially with darker metals. I’m doing a custom dark krakens theme (new to the hobby) and wanted a metallic almost black templars black with some blue hues instead of some matte black with too much edge highlighting and found your stuff. Really nice to watch.

Glad your liking the content. Yeah dark metallics with colour glazing can definitely work it just requires some experimentation. I'm currently working on a dark metallic scheme so hopefully I'll show a video of it in the future. I would check Darkstar Molten Metals metallic paints they have some great dark colours including ones with a blue hue to them. :)

This is an awesome colour scheme and you might just have prevented me painting my Custodes as gold bananas.

Ha! That's great! Glad your liking the scheme! I've had a lot of fun with it so far. Looking forward to trying it out on one of the bigger models like a Custodes Dread or Bike. :)

ooh this looks awesome! how would you translate the armor color to a vehicle?
@adrienkentart Жыл бұрын
Thanks! It would be the same technique only larger brushes or possibly run the blue steel colour through an air brush. I'll be doing some larger minis for this Custodes colour scheme on the channel at some point so should be fun to try it out! :)

@@adrienkentart yeah, I’m planning on starting my Orion and this blue caught my eye. Just not sure how it would work
@yannicksoeters Жыл бұрын
Also, you think grey knight steel would work as a blueish steel base?
@adrienkentart Жыл бұрын
Well the way the grey knights are painted is with leadbelcher as a base and then using the blue night shade colour it's tinted to a blue steel which would work fine. You could use leadbelcher spray can to get a nice clean base for it. However if you want a blue armour look like I've got here you'll need to use a blue metallic mixed into a steel colour. I used Vallejo Arctic Blue and Vallejo steel both are from their 'air' range which means they are already thinned and usable through an air brush and the coverage with a brush is very good. So with a large brush you could base coat the mini with this mix or use an air brush with it too. Hope this helps :) @@yannicksoeters
