I really enjoyed watching your design process, thank you. I've learned a few symmetry tricks over the years with layout paper but stencil-flipping is fun too and looks a lot easier on the eyes! You're encouraging me now how to look for hidden designs such as your petals, to be found from extending the stencil patterns into the circles. I wish my school art teachers had taught stuff like this ... perhaps they do these days, who knows! Thank you as always - on to Part 2 ... :)

May I ask last night when dotting I was using the old tools as I had to approach my dots at a funny angle I noticed that the ball points can be dotted from any angle am excited to see if the new tools do the same.

I'm usually not great at depth perception or hidden things in art. But, with this one.... Just lining with chalk I see two large ants crossing over one another. Then I can make out some beetle bugs. But in part two I see 4 Beautiful Owls emerging. Can't wait to see what else might pop out at me!!❤❤❤

I am very picky about colors Arteza at least on my phone should have called that light aqua. It doesn’t look emerald at all! I guess I’m the age that learned colors from Crayola before they stared having all the crazy names in the 60’s and 70’s and from art classes in the 80’s & 90’s and I’m still learning. I really wish the colors on computer screens and phones and such could be trusted. Emerald like the gem is a beautiful color. I like aqua too. They are just not the same color. I love your dot paintings Kristin.

You so such beautiful work! I’m just beginning to learn and dabble with dot mandala paint. So please excuse my ignorance but I am wondering why you add a medium in with your paints, if you like the thickness of the brand paint you’re using? Won’t that thin out your paints?

Kitty Shaw hi! You can use fluid acrylic paint and not need to add anything to it. I like this mix because it’s puffy and shiny. Fluid paints dry flat, but it’s a personal choice. Use what works best for you. As a beginner you would probably like fluid paints like DecoArt Americana. 👍

It's hard to find, yes. I use just a small amount because the more you use the more pastel your color becomes. Use just enough to get the right "grit" in your paint so your pencil shows up and you'll be good to go. 👍
