I was completely mesmerized jist watching the grayscale portion of this majestic bird come to life ... and then the color was just WOW. I've never painted art, just walls and furniture, but I'm going to give this a go on a skinny interior door of a small room I'm currently renovating and will frame out the heron. That was amazing easy to follow instruction, i was amazed that even my painting turned out pretty good, I’ve only been painting for about 10 months, something to do while locked in, and i just love it, i think I’ve painted about 25 paintings in that amount of time, my family and friends love all that i do so makes me want to paint more, i really appreciate your tutorials so thank you

Absolutely amazing, the blending is so exquisite, i use that word a lot only because it deserves that description. I did my 1st ever full canvas and used your blossom technique, i actually used a cotton bud in some places as still not great on going over in blending, I love monochrome and so want to an interpretation of how art can be just as as enhancing and wow factor as using many colours x

Thank you and welcome to my channel Mangala! I keep my studio temperature cool, use a little water, I recommend using heavy bodied paints as they stay wet longer and have a spray bottle on hand set to “fine mist” spray your palette once in awhile to keep form drying out. 😊

What number cat's tongue brush were you using? I looked on Amazon, and there were so many sizes, like most style brushes. Thanks for introducing me to a new type of brush. I'm a beginner. So much to learn. I'm doing acrylics on 140 lb / 300 gsm watercolor paper for now. Will try canvas if I improve. Thank you!

I've always called these paintings monochromes. I love them, they are striking. My question is, if you add a third color like the blue, is it still called a monochrome, even if not in the strictest sense of the word? Or am I wrong altogether about the type of painting? Thank you!

Mono means one.. the beginning stages of this panting was grey scale so that part was monochromatic 😘
