This turned out beautifully. While I love the salt technique for texture, I have struggled to find the time and the place for it within a painting. This is a gorgeous example of how it can help add to a painting without being a distracting texture. Lovely :)

Lovely bunny! Your frequent use of Windsor Violet delights me as all shades in the purple range are my favorites! (and I certainly see how appropriate the use is in your paintings..) Thank you for teaching us!

Thank you Don! I paint a lot on the 'damn' p paper in this video. Lol...... I'm trying to be careful with my p's because I often get that pop sound on the microphone when I say my 'p's' so I've requested a pop microphone filter for my birthday.

I have no idea where to get the information. Would you kindly let me know where I can find this. Thank you. Helene Edgington

Hi Caden, I think at this stage I'll be keeping the content different. I am currently working on a new class for Skillshare. Thank you for doing my classes!

Hello it's Juliana from Melbourne Australia. I'm 70 I have just found your watercolour program. I would love to do some landscape painting. Do you do that. Thankyou.
@barryedgington68123 жыл бұрын
Hello again Louise, sorry for not finishing my comment, we had power failure. I cannot see “show more” at the bottom of the video. Do I need to join skillshare, in order to have access to “show more”? Thank you. Helene Edgington
@LouiseDeMasi3 жыл бұрын
Hi Helen. No you don't need access to Skillshare. Underneath the video you'll see it's title 'How to Paint a Rabbit in Watercolour'. Then underneath there is my photo in a tiny circle and my name. Under that I have written ' I demonstrate how to paint a rabbit in watercolour..........' Then there is a URL link to my Patreon site and underneath that it says 'Show More'. If you don't see that try logging into KZbin through your internet browser (Safari, Google Chrome....whatever you use to browse the internet.) If you are using the KZbin app on an iPad you may not see it. Sometimes it's set up differently on the app.

Lovely. Will check out your Patreon page. I have lots of Windsor & Newton tube paints, as well as a set of W & N Cotman half-pans. But I do not have Sepia, and I’ve noticed you use it in several of your videos. Is there a substitute you can suggest, or do I need to buy a Sepia?
@LouiseDeMasi5 жыл бұрын
Hi Barbara. Thank you! Patreon is undergoing maintenance right now. It should be available soon. Let me check my colour chart and I'll get back to you soon about Sepia substitute.
@beekayford5 жыл бұрын
Louise De Masi Yes, I tried to go there several times and saw the maintenance message. I’ll try again. Thank you.
@LouiseDeMasi5 жыл бұрын
Sepia is a good colour to have in your watercolour kit. I use it often. For the rabbit you could substitute Burnt Umber or Vandyke brown (I'm looking at my colour chart) or any dark brown colour should be ok.

Hello Louise it's Juliana from Melbourne Australia. I am not a good drawer, please give me ideas how I can get the pictures I want to paint on my paper. How do I join your patreon? I haven't bought good paper yet, when I can afford it next week. I'm using cheap paper. Also what is the no and name of the brush U you for fine work. I think you are a very nice lady. I really like the way you teach. Thankyou
@LouiseDeMasi3 жыл бұрын
Hi Juliana, you can join my Patreon site here: www.patreon.com/louisedemasi but wait until the 2nd of December to join because Patreon charges when you first join and then you are charged again on the 1st day of the month after that. If you wait until the 2nd here in Australia that will be the 1st of December in the US so you will avoid being charged in November and then being charged a few days later for December (I hope that makes sense). I provide line drawings with each of my tutorials. I use Da Vinci Maestro round brushes series 35. They have a fine point. A number 2 is good for fine work. Thank you!

This must sound really dumb, but what do you mean by patron,is it a club you started
@LouiseDeMasi5 жыл бұрын
Hi Henry, it's not a dumb question at all. It's a platform where people can join for a small amount each month $6 and they will have access to the full length tutorials that I'll be creating ( and other things). This video link here will explain it better than I can: kzbin.info/www/bejne/qKjZhp13q5ujrsk
@catherinelevison33104 жыл бұрын
You are a good watercolorist and teacher & I have recommended your channel many, many times however...I have to warn new watercolorists to not attempt this KZbin “free” tutorial because way too many steps were not demonstrated here. They may have been on your Patreon channel, but on this one far too many crucial steps were skipped, had been done off camera...and not just the eye but up to 40% perhaps more, that you don’t notice until you’re trying to paint it yourself.

Please make a video of the German shepherd. And I'd like more animal videos here and on patreon. I like another artist, I'm her patron. But her video is difficult, I have paint drying. And your videos are great!!! But this artist is a huge selection of video on patreon than it attracts. If you had more choice, I would only be with you. Waiting for new videos. Thanks. Here is this artist, perhaps you want to develop patreon in this direction: www.patreon.com/mariamorjane

Thank you very much! I hope you do join me in the future. I'm adding them as fast as I can.They take a long time to produce. I've been on Patreon for just over 8 weeks and I've produced 8 tutorials in that time. I'm working hard to provide content for my patrons. 💕
