I loved every moment of this painting. Hearing birds in the background added to the experience! It was so beautiful. Fairy wrens are my all time favourite bird - just so adorable! You have done this little guy justice. He looks stunning!

Lovely painting Louise. Thank you so much for sharing your wisdom of watercolor with us. Do you have cockatiels or little pet birds? I have often heard birds in your videos and I also heard you mention the "Black Cockatoos" at the end. I have had pet birds for 35+ years. Moluccans, cockatiels, budgies, love birds and an Amazon. I only have one remaining cockatiel and the spectacled Amazon. I put my last Moluccan down in September. I had her for 32 years. All of my birds have lived long lives. Even my cockatiel lived for 30 yrs. I'm getting old now and I won't be taking any more birds in. Been an artist all of my life but had an injury to my ulnar nerve and artery in my dominant hand so I haven't been doing any art for over 20 years. I have been inspired by your lovely work on birds and your fantastic teaching. Thank you, sincerely.

Thanks Don. Our birds are so noisy. It's almost impossible to find a quite time through the day to voice-over. We've got a flock of White Cockatoos at the moment wreaking havoc. They cruise on in every morning and afternoon. We have some new plants that we've put UV plastic bags around to protect them from the frost and they pull them off and toss them everywhere. I have to clean up after them every morning. The joys of living in the country....lol.

Great video. I'm watching these time lapsed videos first and then going to patreon or skillshare for the real time lessons when I begin to paint. I've already done the female wren and will do this one next. Then I plan to combine them in one painting composition. How do you like the Winsor and Newton watercolor journal? It's hard to find good ones and I tend to do practice pieces on 5x7 Arches paper which is costly. When you fill this journal can we have a flip through? :) Thank you so much for all your wonderful instruction and support.
