I know you painted this years ago......but,,,,,,,WOW!!!!...it's so realistic in I'd feed it .....the eyes themselves are like wee ponds filled with algae and Lillie's....tiny works of art......I noticed you didn't highlight them with white as I've seen so many times.... because you didn't have to......it's beautiful.... love your talent..... I'm inspired....Ty.....💚

Hi Rebecca, I am struggling in painting the fur. I love the way you do the painting. What is the brush you use to paint the fur (starting 14:34)?

Thanks Maggie, this is a Billy Showell fine-tipped brush.

Thanks Katie, it took around 5 hours.

Rebecca Rhodes, Watercolor Artist You believe if I attempt to do it as a novice then 10 hours would probably be reasonable? My plan is to begin as a student in your school on the 1st. I like your music choices and calming voice as you teach. 🙂❣️

Thank you! I am painting on Arches 140 lb watercolor paper that has been soaked, wrapped around, and stapled to Fredrix stretcher bars. When it's dry, it's tight as a drum and fun to paint on. I'm glad you like it!

@@RebeccaRhodesWatercolorArtist Thank you... I am new to water color... I did not realize that you could soak and stretch paper. How are you going to frame that when you're done? Do you remove it from the stretchers or do you frame it with glass and a frame as is?. Sorry so many questions😁

I had a lot of trouble with cats for a long time. I used to paint the fur pretty much in straight lines, but finally figured out that you have to make sure to follow the direction, contour, and length of the fur.
