Thank you souch for this video..I have been stuck trying to find a nice background for a blue/purple fairy for weeks for a gift for both of my sister in law's little ones, I made a green garden fairy which is finished for one and the blue for the the other..tried so many different ideas and this is perfect for what I want..but I dont have white to do the stairs...will have to figure something out..thank you 😊

I love this! I tried the white gouache for the star splatter and it dried super pale... it's supposed to be watered gouache on dry?

Which brand did you use? Some brands are more opaque then others, and some have a "mixing white" (might be labelled with a different name) which is a more transparent white compared to a normal opaque white. Also, the more water you add, the more transparent/pale it will dry so try adding as little water as possible! I hope that helps! 😊

The white is Gouache which is like an opaque watercolour 😊 I use either Winsor and Newton Designer Gouache or Art Spectrum Gouache

Do you mean for the star splatters instead of gouache? Or for the entire project? You can definitely use acrylic instead of the gouache, but acrylic doesn't create the same effects as watercolour does so it would be very hard to paint the background with acrylics 😊

I wouldn't recommend it with watercolour because it will buckle/crease/bend when it gets wet so it won't lay flat when it dries
