I've searched for a video like this for far too long... THANK YOU! Just what I needed!!! :) (about to do my first helmet on 1/10 tamiya f103, this is very handy!)

Glad I could offer some advice, it’s a great way to personalise a car, especially if you go for box art. Thank you for watching 👍

Thank you for posting this I have always wanted to know how you get rid of the join line!
@RCsoandso2 жыл бұрын
I find that a little bit of prep makes life a bit better with the joins, also not having the paint to thick helps 👍

Hi there, that was a good tutorial of how to paint a Tamiya figure head. Thank you for sharing with us. Merry Christmas and a happy New Year 😉😊😉

I have 3 I’m working on currently, I’m experimenting with Milliput this time. Glad you liked the video and enjoy the festive period 🎄🎅🏻

@@RCsoandso hi there, I’ve use the milliput super fine on my Blitzer Beetle to fill the used hole(s) this is good epoxy filler, easy to work with, just needs 4+ hours to cure (depending on room temp) I left mine overnight and noticed the test sample was hard like a stone 😊😉. Merry Christmas and keep up the great videos. 😊😉

Excellent start, but then I think some key artifacts are skipped? Hoe do you sand the helmet, what paper? And how do you best mask the finished face before start adding the colour to the shell?
@RCsoandso2 жыл бұрын
I did use a very fine sandpaper I think it was 1200, and not too vigorous. I didn’t actually mask the face as I was worried it could peel the paint, so just a steady hand and my big boy pants 😆😂👍

@@RCsoandso … many thanks mate. In my case it’s less the steady hands but more my eyes. Will try the Tamiya masking sheets (carving the shield) - just to be on the safe side. Thanks for sharing.

@@PaulZehnder liquid masking can be good I hear but I’ve not tried it. A cocktail stick really helps with eyes 👀👍

That’s true, it’s hard to make the driver not look like he is having a panic attack 😂🤣👍
