Yes, I totally agree with you that copying famous painters give me that feeling of composition and colour creations. It is different for you because you are the professional painter who understands colour much better than somebody like myself. I like your approach to all presentations with great humour, sound of whatever characterize the scenery you try to very successfully place on watercolour paper. I am so happy that I discovered your site.

Soooo good Paul. The many shades of blue, green, in water stunning! I agree that even copying an artist you still have to understand art theory & color theory to make it your own. And yes one always learns many things in your own rendering. Your sense of humor is priceless. You always make me laugh out loud.🤣😂😌🙄👏👏👏👏👏👏👏❤️

Good morning Pablo Clark! What a delightful surprise!!! Love your humor, the music, the setting, the original artist and your version of this great scene!!! You never disappoint!!! 😊 Love the realtime; I don't suppose you could arrange it so that it shows up in different parts of the composition? Also, I've been hoping that some day you'd show us how to do people like in your Dancers at Annecy painting or the Bistro painting with the waitress at the doorway and patrons sitting at tables with one couple at the left of the waitress that shows movement and realism with figures. I would sure love to see how that's done. I hope you have a wonderful time in France with delicious food, warm, dry weather, amazing friends/acquaintances and plenty of plein air painting! Thanks so much Paul for always wanting to see our pearly whites! Oh, and great mustache by the way! 😊

Not going to Venice just yet Paul, I'm still in Yorkshire at the start of your first full paintings (the bridge) having just done your book's first exercises. Being able to read the book and "hear it" in your friendly voice is a delight, makes it seem _you're_ with me when I went out to paint, if that makes sense. So thank you for your lessons and energy and easy-going way and for your instruction, but most of all your enthusiasm - that's the real reason I have started experimenting with watercolours and I'm grateful - to you - that I did. (Or to put it another way, for all the messes on paper I'm about to make - ultimately I blame you!).

Hello, Paul. Yesterday we in India celebrated ‘Guru Purnima’. It’s the day of the summer full moon dedicated to gurus or teachers. Gurus or teachers are worshipped for imparting knowledge and wisdom to their disciples and the gurus in turn bless the disciples. For me, you are my watercolour guru. Thank you for teaching me what I know about watercolour. My journey with the medium began two years ago with your tutorials.
